Parts & Inventory Manager 

 

Parts & Inventory Manager is a key role to work with Brand (Mopar, Honda & Volvo) Principal & TE Management in developing and strengthening the inventory and parts sales management systems and processes. Parts & Inventory Manager is a valuable member of Value chain team in implementing ‘Best Practice’ for inventory management and improve parts sales performance at all Aftersales locations. With the resignation of the current employee wef 18thFeb, Parts & Inventory Manager is a critical role to fill, as this will support TE Aftersales to ensure an optimum level of spare parts inventory at all times, thus providing customers with the expected level of parts support. In addition to the Inventory, the role will require to support B2B central function team and own responsibility of delivering Parts sell-out through Large Fleet and Dealer Channels.

 

This role will report to the Head of Aftersales and will be based out of their offices in Rashidya, Dubai. 

 

Below are the Key Responsibilties:

  • Creates annual Parts Department goals and budget, in alignment with the organization’s financial and operational objectives
  • Maintain a balanced inventory consistent with the requirements of the service department, body shop, wholesale accounts, and the walking customer
  • To continuously monitor our orders to the Principal and suppliers  within the stipulated time 
  • Maintains an accurate and effective parts inventory control system that includes a perpetual and/or annual physical inventory and proper counter procedures
  • To improve B2B parts sales line in collaboration with B2B central function teams
  • Monitor Back Orders from principals
  • Monitor VOR parts of WIP and coordinate with respective principals for the earliest ETA
  • Ensure customer/associate engagement is enhanced and ensure customer complaints are resolved through taking necessary actions

 

The critical factors to the job role are:

  • Achieve or exceed budgeted sales, gross margin and net profit targets in a competitive and challenging domestic and overseas market.
  • Monitoring and controlling of Inventory to avoid obsolete stocks & at the same time ensure above 90% parts availability.
  • To have excellent parts knowledge so as to manage supersessions, replacements and recall parts.
  • Collaboration with group and principle to enhance performance

 

Minimum Qualifications and Knowledge:

  • Graduate in Mechanical Engineering & MBA (Finance & Marketing )

 

Minimum Experience: 

  • 15 years in procurement, inventory and sales management of automotive spare parts & accessories, with minimum 7 years at a management Level 
  • Job-Specific Skills: 
  • Technology driven procurement, sales, inventory, warehousing & distribution, kaizen, 5S principle, customer care and techno commercial skills. In addition, needs general management skills like planning, analytical, organizing, communication, leadership and man management. 
  • SAP Automotive MM, SD & WM modules, Syncron Demand Forecasting system, Honda Web based system (EDOL), Advanced computer skills in MS Office applications, Ms Outlook, Internet

  

Behavioural Competencies: 

  • Excellent leadership skills
  • Management skills
  • Theoretical knowledge of modern vehicle systems and function.
  • Competent to train and coach staff.
