As an Instructional Designer, you will be responsible for creating effective and engaging instructional curricula, specifically crafted to produce desired learning outcomes.  You will be consulting with various departments and designing the optimum training experience that meets their requirements.  This job is a member of the Learning Solutions Team within the Global Engagement Organization. 

What you'll do

• Create a variety of training experiences including web-based training programs, storyboards, job aids and in person/virtual trainings
• Consult, design, develop, implement and evaluate training programs following department standards and guidelines while producing desired learning outcomes
• Determine course objectives and the appropriate delivery sequence
• Develop assessment and knowledge check elements that accurately measure learning
• Employ a variety of teaching strategies conducive to motivating learning, including interactive and scenario-based activities
• Partner with various workgroups to create a learning strategy that supports a diverse learning community

All you'll need for success

Minimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience

• Bachelor's degree in relevant field or equivalent experience/training
• 2 years of technical writing experience applying training methodologies
• 1 year of experience utilizing rapid development tools such as Articulate

 

Preferred Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience

• Experience in developing instructional curriculum for airlines or other larger companies
• Proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud
• Experience in animation creation using Vyond or similar tools

 

Skills, Licenses & Certifications

• Knowledge of Microsoft Office to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
• Knowledge of instructional design and adult learning methodologies
• Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team
• Ability to manage multiple projects independently and efficiently ensuring that deadlines are met
• Ability to demonstrate an acute attention to detail
• Ability to employs a variety of teaching strategies conducive to motivating learning, including examples, practice, and interactivity
