What you'll do
- Partners with hiring managers to understand and prioritize vacancies to be filled
- Leads and attends external hiring events including on-site coordination and interviewing
- Provides hiring manager accurate and timely updates on applicant activity, tracks talent acquisition metrics and reports trends and issues to TA leadership, providing recommendations for improvement
- Maintains up-to-date applicant records in the applicant tracking system for accurate reporting and analysis; maintains recall lists
- Collaborates closely with various internal departments such as workforce planning and labor to understand and satisfy headcount needs timely
- Builds external candidate pipelines
- Creates a positive internal team member and candidate experience for recalls, station transfers and external hiring
- Establishes service level agreements and sets clear expectations with hiring manager and vendors
- Provides guidance and influence of the recruitment experience to business leaders
- Acts as a resource to hiring managers on conducting behavioral interviewing, and facilitates selection process and discussion, in order to ensure effective, legal interviewing practices.
- Collaborates with RPO (Recruiting Process Outsourcing) partner(s) to provide guidance and/or clarification on union contracts
- Holds vendor accountable to administer administrative aspects of the recruiting process
- Conducts recurrent business calls with leaders to discuss high-volume hiring, including strategy and updates
- Maintains strong cross functional partnerships with Legal, Labor team, and other leaders and TA functions
- Some travel may be required, up to 50%
All you'll need for success
Minimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant field or equivalent experience/training
- At least 2 years’ experience in a recruiting function
- At least 1 year experience leading recruitment projects and high volume hiring initiatives
- Experience with competency-based interviews and assessment techniques
Preferred Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience
- High-volume recruiting experience, especially in a unionized environment
- Airline experience
- Preferred reporting experience relative to Talent Acquisition performance and metrics
Skills, Licenses & Certifications
- Excellent relationship management skills, ability to establish credibility, and partner with leaders to identify talent gaps, needs, risk and plans for actions
- Ability to demonstrate a strong customer orientation and influencing skills
- Proven leadership skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Presentation and facilitation skills
- Strategic, creative and innovative thinking skills, and the ability to exercise sound judgment
- Knowledge of workforce planning (forecast, identify specific needs, skills, locations, and behaviors) is a plus
- Prior experience with SuccessFactors or other large enterprise ATS systems is a plus
