About the Role:

Al-Futtaim Logistics has a mission of delivering the highest service level, quality and efficiency to be the region’s leading Logistics Provider.  As a Heavy Vehicle Driver your task is to deliver cargo to the correct location, without damage and whilst adhering to all current company policies.

 

We are currently looking for heavy vehicle driver to transport goods to various locations throughout UAE or GCC using heavy-duty trucks (including: car carriers, side curtain trailers, flat beds, low beds, side loaders and other heavy goods vehicles) or light cargo vehicles (3, 7, 10 tons vehicles). To assist in loading and offloading cargo into/from the vehicles. To maintain contact with the Planning office to receive instructions or to be dispatched to the new location or to update delivery status.

 

Job Responsibilities:

 

• Maintain accident-free record over the working year (not more than one minor accident within 100 000kms). Inform Operation Supervisor about all vehicle/facility/cargo damages immediately when happened and follow accident/ incident procedure.

 

• Ensure all relevant items listed in the driver SOP are accurately completed and punctually submitted 98% of the time during the course of the working year (Inc. TAMS, proper Pre-Trip inspection, delivery as per given schedule, Trip/Run sheets etc.).

 

• Perform economical driving style with rate good or very good (as per Drivers scorecards) through the year. Reduce your idling time up to the necessary minimum. Maintain economical fuel consumption through good driving practices.  Poor fuel consumption will be notified in writing.

 

• Ensure the vehicle is clean and presentable (inside and outside). Conduct in an appropriate manner with internal and external Customers and colleagues.

 

• After each delivery done provide POD/ Delivery confirmation signed by Customer. Also, damaged cargo must not be picked until a confirmation is received from Customer.

 

 

Minimum Qualifications and Knowledge: Matriculation passed.

Critical Requirement: MUST HAVE UAE CODE 3 and 4 License.

Minimum Experience: 02 years’ experience driving class 4 vehicles with trailers.

Job-Specific Skills: Knowledge of basic automotive maintenances procedures.

Behavioural Competencies: Teamwork and Time Management skills.
