  •  ​This job is a member of Technology and Transformation (TnT) organization within the Information Technology Division. 
  •  Responsible for implementing policy as code in AA’s choice of cloud to secure & optimize cloud utilization and provide cost transparency. 
  •  This is a product technical lead role for product Governance as a Service. You will lead technology and tool stack directions, evaluation and implementation.

What you'll do

  • Collaborates with leaders, technical product owner, architects, delivery manager and other developers, engineers along with internal customers, to understand requirements and develop needs according to business requirements 
  • Maintains and enhances existing enterprise services, applications, and platforms using domain driven design and test-driven development  
  • Troubleshoots and debugs complex issues; identifies and implements solutions 
  • Creates detailed project specifications, requirements, and estimates 
  • Researches and implements new technologies to enhance current processes, security, and performance 
  • Supports the development of coding standards and adheres to best practices and security guidelines 
  • Works closely with technical product owner and architects to ensure decisions meet long-term enterprise growth needs  
  • Design and develop policy as code framework 
  • Research and evaluating tooling options, open source first 
  • Follow DevOps best practice  
  • Coach other developers and engineers on the team 

All you'll need for success

Minimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Technology, Information Systems (CIS/MIS), Engineering or related technical discipline, or equivalent experience/training
  • 8 years of Java Development Environment (JDE) experience
  • 2 years Application Programming Interface (ADI) framework / REST development
  • 2 years in web services (mid-range) development

 

Preferred Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience

  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Technology, Information Systems (CIS/MIS), Engineering or related technical discipline, or equivalent experience/training 
  • 3 years technical leadership of IT personnel 
  • 3+ years of Microsoft Azure for Linux Deployments with deep understanding of core Microsoft Azure concepts.  
  • 2+ years of Microsoft Azure Kubernetes Service(AKS) with deep understanding of Container Orchestraion and Distributed System Concepts 
  • 2+ years of Docker with building, using and publishing Docker images for Kubernetes 
  • 3+ years specialized experience in designing, building, and automating solutions utilizing Azure cloud technologies and services including health monitoring, data security, capacity metering, cloud pricing, cloud expense management, high availability/resiliency. 
  • 3+ years of experience implementing infrastructure as code

  • Advanced ability to plan strategically for current and future business environments, including future technology and business design changes to create flexible, scalable solutions
  • In-depth knowledge of IT business operations, systems requirements, and processes 
  • Experience with HW/SW resource management, cloud framework implementation, micro-services, and Apache frameworks
  • Ability to take large, complex projects and break them down into manageable pieces, develop functional specifications, to be delivered in a successful and timely manner
  • Demonstrated experience in the following:
    • Public Cloud methodologies (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS), automation, orchestration, trends, and industry-leading cloud vendor offerings
    • Docker container and Kubernetes
    • API development. REST API, FastAPI, JSON
    • Relational databases. Familiarity with database technology such as PostgreSQL, MySQL
    • Strong knowledge of network theory, rules, practices, and principles
    • Demonstrated ability to create automated processes using well-known languages and frameworks such as Terraform, Puppet, Powershell, CLI, Python, YML
    • Knowledge of Active Directory
    • Utilizing CI/CD pipeline automation in tools. GitHub/GitHub Actions is a preferred
  • Ability to analyze complex problems and implement solutions and/or workarounds
  • Ability to work on multiple initiatives simultaneously with a keen desire to learn and expand depth of knowledge
  • Ability to thrive in a sense-of-urgency environment and leverage best practices
  • Demonstrated initiative, flexibility, and ability to adapt to changing priorities and work environments
  • Experience in Agile methodologies, such as SCRUM 
  • A team player and technical coach who works and communicates well with both technical and non-technical personal
