ROLE PURPOSE:
To assist the school doctor and ensure complete care and wellbeing of the students along with maintaining a healthy school environment.
KEY ROLE SPECIFIC ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Description of the Accountability:
- Assist in the physical examination (health screening, First aid, emergency care of students)
- Cooperate with DHA inspectors, school health services and health regulation and provide requested documentation / files and statistics
- Maintain, evaluate and interpret
- Cumulative health data to accommodate individual needs of students
- Student records in accordance with the DHA guidelines, thus providing efficient retrieval of information and other related archival as and when required
- Coordinate school and community health activities and serve as a liaison health professional between the home, school and community
- Assist or Deliver in the Health Education classes to the staff and students
- Identify the students with chronic medical conditions in the School
- Develop liaison with health authorities and keep abreast of existing and new regulations that govern schools
- Well versed with written protocols and regulatory procedures
- Participate in initiatives with Child Protection (address any health/wellbeing alert) in collaboration with the Inclusion department
- Provide timely vaccinations and maintain inventory for the clinic (consumables/pharmaceuticals)
- Be present at the school events / sports meet to ensure student safety , administering First aid whenever necessary
PERSON SPECIFIC:
Education: Professional Certificate (Medicine), Bachelor's Degree,
Minimum Experience and Knowledge: DHA Eligibility Letter as Registered Nurse or Assistant Nurse
