- Responsible for supporting the Pilot Recruiting & Development team by coordinating internal and external events aimed at the selection of the newest American Airlines pilots, and implementing processes that advance the safest and most qualified pilots to the flight decks of our aircraft. Additional responsibilities include the assigning and coordination of pilots to attend events, assist in selection and ensuring the corresponding pay and expense reports are correct.
- Responsible for supporting the Pilot Recruiting & Development team by coordinating internal and external events aimed at facilitating engagement and discussion related to the American Airlines Cadet Academy, and designed to inspire the next generation of aviators. Additional responsibilities include the assigning and coordination of pilots to attend these events (as well as wholly owned regional events), and ensuring corresponding pay and expense reports are correct, and compiling summaries of each event.
What you'll do
- Organizes and coordinates hiring and recruiting events
- Serves as a liaison between certain departments, vendors and American Airlines
- Represents American Airlines at company recruitment functions including but not limited to in person and virtual job fairs
- Provides daily support to the Cadet Academy team by helping market and communicate effectively specifics of the program
- Proactively coordinates internal and external events aimed at facilitating engagement and discussion related to the American Airlines Cadet Academy
- Periodically supports wholly owned regional carriers with recruiting efforts
All you'll need for success
Minimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience
- High School diploma or GED equivalency
- At least 1 year of related experience
Preferred Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in related field or equivalent years of experience
- Knowledge of professional pilot career paths
- Private pilot certificate or higher
Skills, Licenses & Certifications
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.
- First-hand experience, knowledge and understanding of the military and civilian flight progression
- Ability to creatively write about pilot supply and demand, career recruiting, hiring, and general pilot industry information
- Ability to work independently and/or amount of direction needed
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
- Knowledge and understanding of the civilian and military flight training industry
- Ability to track and report data effectively and efficiently
