  •  The Analyst/Senior Analyst, AAdvantage Promotion Strategy will be responsible for identifying and designing data driven marketing strategies to drive customer engagement and incremental revenue with American and the AAdvantage program. Successful candidates will have a broad understanding of marketing strategy, including campaign development, content marketing, and effective use of targeting strategies. This position includes collaboration among other groups to create a portfolio of engagement hub promotions and offers that effectively reach AAdvantage members in varying stages of their customer journey and life cycle and drive measurable customer impact.

What you'll do

  • Collaborates across multiple groups to design campaigns including ACS, Digital, Marketing, Customer Insights, Sales, RM, and IT to lead and execute all aspects of campaign production
  • Consults and influences strategy for promotions and non-flight campaigns (i.e., partner) that drive engagement OKRs
  • Promote personalized engagement and targeting efforts for AAdvantage member campaigns
  • Collaborate with Revenue Analysis, Customer Insights and Operations Research to apply advanced analytics techniques when necessary
  • Develop and implement a test and learn structure within all marketing communications in order to meet and exceed engagement objectives, including utilizing various analytics platforms to evaluate results (Adobe Analytics, Tableau dashboards, Mosaic, etc.)
  • Leverages campaign results and explore opportunities for improved targeting and customer communication efforts
  • Solicits input from a variety of promotions strategy owners to facilitate a coordinated prioritization of diverse offers that provide all customers with relevant and interesting engagement opportunities to stretch their behavior (air and non-air)
  • Presents campaign updates to all key stakeholders, including senior leadership
  • Reviews American’s marketing channel options (Your Account, advertising placements on aa.com, email, etc.) and makes recommendations for campaign communication

All you'll need for success

Minimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field or equivalent experience/training​
  • 3 years of experience in a marketing role

Preferred Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience

  • MBA 
  • Experience in airline data and systems
  • Previous loyalty marketing, CRM, insights, customer behavioral sciences experience
  • Proficiency with SQL and Tableau

Skills, Licenses & Certifications

  • Advanced Proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint
  • Ability to move projects forward without deadlines as well as effectively work under tight time constraints as needed
  • Strong organizational skills with ability to move projects forward without deadlines as well as effectively work under tight time constraints as needed
  • Demonstrated ability in balancing multiple projects concurrently, with attention to detail and changing priorities 
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and build consensus in team environments
  • Excellent leadership, communication, creative thinking, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proactive in suggesting improvements and innovative ideas
  • Strong marketing background, particularly customer experience and communications, with an interest and curiosity about the latest marketing trends 
  • Demonstrated ability in utilizing data to monitor campaign success
