Responsible for all commercial sales activities and strategies in Middle East, India and Africa.  Leads and supports a team of direct reports based in Israel, India and London. In addition, responsible for relationships and agreements with GSA vendors, which represent AA for passenger sales throughout EMEA, and for the oversight of the sales and operational activities associated with those agreements. 


 

What you'll do

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities      


•    Setting sales strategy for  new online markets, Israel, India, and future markets when viable,and for the entire sales territory
•    Develops plans for new station commercial set ups and develops new markets for commercial success
•    Responsible for the management of sales teams with own employees and vendor teams. Manages direct activities of the sales teams in the territory. 
•    Responsible for organization plans for the region.  Determines where GSA vendors are needed based on market potential and other factors.  Develops and implements plans for transitioning from GSA vendor to direct team members for new online markets and is responsible for staffing and hiring plans.
•    Oversees administration and operational transactions in the sales territory and ensures  GSA compliance with AA policies and procedures
•    Coaches sales teams on AA’s sales techniques and tools
•    Establishes necessary training plans for team members to grow their skill set and perform at the highest level
•    Establishes sales and business plans for all key sales countries
•    Collaborates with HDQ teams to maximise route performance by providing market intelligence to Revenue Management, Network Planning, Sales and Marketing, developing strong local plans with Operations to ensure the highest level of customer experience, and coordinating with Alliances to develop effective commercial relationships with alliance partners
•    Maintains senior and operational level relationships with other airlines in the Region, especially codeshare, joint business and oneworld Alliance partners. Identifies and implements cooperative sales and promotional programs with codeshare / joint business / alliance partners.  Facilitates filing of codeshare flights in select countries, including, but not limited to India and Israel
•    Assesses sales opportunities and utilizes sales resources to maximize revenue and profitability.  Strong emphasis on premium / corporate sales with the ability to apply creative competitive business solutions for key local and global corporate customers.  Responsible for the local management of key global corporate account relationships.  
•    Produces monthly and quarterly reporting for use externally and internally to analyze account and GSA performance and achievement of established goals.
•    Undertakes regular GSA performance evaluations and implements corrective action as needed.
•    Develops and implements key agency sales programs often with AJB partners where appropriate and provides monthly performance reports for internal and external review.
•    Works closely with Revenue Management to ensure the appropriate fare structure is consistently reviewed and reflects the appropriate traffic and/or yield revenue opportunities.
