What you'll do

​Advisor Support Function:

  • Assists financial advisor team by delivering high levels of administrative and operational support from file creation to trade executions
  • Performs multiple tasks and works with other Credit Union team members while maintaining good organizational skills such as: maintaining member files, marketing materials, compliance logs and department/broker dealer reports
  • Provides a high level of quality customer service to internal as well as external business partners, as well as members. This includes but is not limited to other Credit Union departments/branches and our broker dealer
  • Travels to local and regional branches to promote services to Credit Union staff and members
  • Provides members with specific research/product information or other information pertaining to securities transactions in which the members wish to or is considering executing
  • Executes transactions on behalf of members when the financial advisor is not available
  • Current and valid Securities license: FINRA Series 7, 63/65 or 66 and appropriate state insurance license with a clean U-4 report are required. If these licenses have termed or are not currently held, they must be attained within 1 year of employment. Other licenses may also be required in the future due to changing business needs
  • Responsible for ensuring the security and confidentiality of all account and related information which is part of their work and for ensuring that his/her work is in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations including, but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act
  • Ability to travel
  • Ability to work varying schedules, including evenings and weekends

What you'll do

  • Ability to maintain satisfactory performance and attendance
  • Member Education Support Function: 
  • Coordinates with various business units within Credit Union and Broker Dealer, manages member education projects (i.e., seminars, campaigns, compliance approvals, etc.)
  • Manages deadlines of member education projects to ensure presentations, materials, and all collaterals are compliance approved and delivered in a timely manner
  • Manages data held within Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tools
  • Assists with referral queue to schedule prospective client appointments and Member Service Representative (MSR) follow-up
  • Travels to seminars within the DFW area and in other states
  • Current and valid Securities license: FINRA Series 7, 63/65 or 66 and appropriate state insurance license with a clean U-4 report are strongly desired, but not required
  • Ensures the security and confidentiality of all account and related information which is part of their work and for ensuring that his/her work is in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations including, but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act

Minimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience

  • ​High school diploma or GED equivalency

Preferred Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in an area of study relevant to the position
  • 2 years of financial services experience

Skills, Licenses & Certifications

  • ​Skilled in Microsoft Office software (e.g., Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint) gained through either work experience with the software or education and hands-on use of the software
  • Ability to demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to convey complex or difficult information clearly, concisely and with sensitivity to the recipient
  • Ability to demonstrate superior interpersonal skills, including the ability to exercise a high degree of integrity, discretion, confidentiality, ownership, member focus and professionalism
  • Ability to exercise meticulous attention to detail and well-developed critical thinking skills
  • Ability to demonstrate strong time management, organizational and multi-tasking skills and effectively handle competing priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-pace environment
  • Ability to work effectively in a self-directed capacity with minimal supervision and function as an integral part of a team
  • Ability to work collaboratively with people of varying backgrounds and levels
  • Ability to pass applicable American Airlines pre-hire compliance checks
  • Must have an acceptable credit history, which will be verified
