What you'll do

  • Builds and leverages relationships at all levels in the organization, informing and assisting others while being viewed as a valued, trusted, and credible business partner
  • Acts as a trusted advisor to client leaders, assisting them to carry out their business and functional plans
  • Works with business leaders to effectively lead and execute all annual people initiatives for the organization
  • Provides strategic guidance to clients to implement solutions for employee relations issues trends, patterns
  • Partners with business to provide guidance to management, including investigations, conflict resolution, disciplinary action, and performance improvement counseling 
  • Identifies and capitalizes on opportunities to drive and/or lead change
  • Foster a culture that is diverse and inclusive, in line with the strategic goals of the organization, team building, organizational development, engagement and accountability
  • Facilitates effective change management initiatives
  • Presents options to leaders on organizational structure, roles and responsibilities, employee development, etc.
  • Identifies and delivers training, both compliance and leadership, to client work group(s) (e.g., workplace environment, diversity, equity, and inclusion)
  • Serves as an advocate for our employees and works to resolve team member People related questions and issues
  • Explains and interprets company and countries rules, regulations, policies, and procedures for team members and management
  • Coordinates and participates in the planning, recruiting, qualifying, screening and selection of candidates for employment
  • Provides detailed employee information to attend, resolve, follow-up labor cases and/or any other information required by local authorities. Own and lead the union relationship with local leadership for Peru, Colombia, and additional countries to be assigned
  • Other duties and special assignments/projects as required by Senior People Manager

All you'll need for success

  • College degree preferably in Business Administration, Industrial Relations, Human Resources or Psychology.  Employee relations and Human Resources experience is preferred for this position
  • Proved knowledge of Peruvian labor laws and regulations (extended South America labor knowledge --Northern Rim-- preferred)
  • Strong leadership skills, with proven experience of influencing leaders and team members
  • Strong interpersonal skills

  • Strong ability to build relationships, both internally and externally
  • Strategic thought leadership and innovation 
  • Excellent oral and written communication
