  • This job is on the Loyalty and Cobrand Analysis team within the Commercial Planning & Analysis organization, part of the Revenue Division.
  • Responsibilities of the Strategic Planning & Analysis organization range from forecasting revenue and capacity to analyzing and optimizing the needs and deployment of strategic assets, analyzing airline alliances, solving complex revenue and loyalty analysis projects, and working on a variety of initiatives that support our commercial organization while constantly pushing forward and executing our company’s commercial strategy.

What you'll do

  • Develop and monitor the effectiveness of revenue strategies and initiatives that support the AAdvantage frequent flyer program and our portfolio of global cobrand credit cards
  • Support loyalty and cobrand initiatives / promotions by developing, measuring, and presenting KPIs to stakeholders across the organization
  • Analyze data derived from various areas, such as booking activity, cobrand cardholder spend, macro market trends, ROI analyses, profitability statistics, campaign results, marketing efforts, revenue management, and pricing trends in order to devise strategies to increase customer engagement, revenue, and airline profitability
  • Utilize statistical analysis, predictive modeling or other analytical methods to analyze data and develop practical solutions to business problems in the loyalty and cobrand credit card space
  • Collaborate with our internal and external business partners to create a compelling and rewarding loyalty proposition for our customers worldwide
  • Work directly with our bank and payment network partners (Citi, Barclays, and Mastercard) to support growth and portfolio optimization initiatives
  • Foster relationships and lead discussions with stakeholders across the company that are focused on driving long term value to American Airlines (particularly Customer Insights & Loyalty, Marketing, Sales, Revenue Management, and AA’s joint business airline partners)
  • Tailor communication of complex ideas to both junior and senior-level audiences, presenting your analyses, strategies and results to all levels of the organization

All you'll need for success

  • Minimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience
    • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience/training
    • Minimum 3 years of related work experience, or master’s degree in a related field
  • Preferred Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience
    • Advanced knowledge of data analysis tools including Excel, Tableau, and SQL
    • Experience in airline Network Planning, Revenue Management, Customer Insights and Loyalty, Commercial, or analytical field
  • Skills, Licenses & Certifications
    • Eager to solve complex problems and puzzles in a constrained and dynamic environment
    • Ability to leverage understanding of the airline business and commercial goals to draw insights, drive results, and create innovative solutions
    • Adaptive to new ideas and business processes in an ever-changing marketplace
    • Ability to perform in cross-functional groups with minimal supervision to drive outcomes which benefit the entire airline
    • Skilled at sharing knowledge to develop the expertise of the team as a whole
    • Advanced Microsoft Office skills
