  • ​Responsible for creating American Airlines Credit Union growth by driving awareness and promoting participation in Credit Union products and services among our key strategic partners, potential members and existing members.

What you'll do

  • Increases overall awareness of the benefits of Credit Union membership in a manner that results in new member participation and increased existing member participation by promoting all of American Airlines Credit Union's products and services
  • Maintains existing relationships with companies that fall within the field of membership by building a strong rapport with decision makers and maintaining frequent personal contact with established accounts
  • Consults with prospective companies about their employees' financial goals and needs and identifies ways to promote Credit Union products, loans, and services to best meet those needs
  • Maintains knowledge of products and services offered by the Credit Union in order to answer questions and cross-sell appropriate products to companies, members and potential members
  • Conducts on-site new employee orientations, membership drives, and presents financial seminars and presentations
  • Participates in Credit Union, industry and community functions to raise awareness, educate potential members, enhance networking opportunities, and promote the Credit Union's image
  • Partners with Business Development Manager, Branch Managers, and Marketing for Credit Union promotions, product development and branch-targeted marketing strategies
  • Maintains accurate records of business development statistics, contacts, and business relations activities and provides comprehensive written reports on a regular basis regarding development efforts
  • Determines membership eligibility by interpreting the Field of Membership as defined by the federal charter
  • Ability to use own transportation within a 50 mile radius of assigned station
  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds is required
  • Ability to travel for business up to 90% of the time
  • Ability to work evenings, before/after the standard shift and on weekends
  • Ability to maintain satisfactory performance and attendance
  • Ensures the security and confidentiality of all account and related information which is part of their work and for ensuring that his/her work is in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations including, but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act.

Minimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience

  • College degree in business, finance, or related area, or equivalent financial services experience
  • Proven and verifiable record of success in meeting productivity goals

Preferred Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience

  • Two years of sales/marketing/business development experience that includes identifying, researching, establishing and maintaining relationships with clients
  • Previous banking or Credit Union experience
  • Experience with Sales Force or Customer Relationship Management programs

  • ​Skilled above average proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite of programs including Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and Power Point
  • Knowledge of AA Credit Union's entire product and service offerings, policies and procedures
  • Ability to build strong relationships with internal and external clients through the use of consultative sales skills
  • Ability to maintain a strong member focus and manage high member expectations is essential
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment in decision making
  • Skilled in excellent planning and organization skills with the ability to prioritize, manage multiple assignments simultaneously and work well under deadlines
  • Ability to demonstrate excellent oral and written presentation skills, including the ability to effectively communicate with all levels of management and staff, and work closely with multiple departments
  • Ability to self-manage and work autonomously
  • Ability to project a positive attitude is paramount
  • Ability to motivate or influence others is a material part of this position and requires obtaining a significant level of cooperation from both internal and external contacts
  • Bilingual in Spanish or another language is a plus
  • Ability to pass applicable American Airlines and Credit Union pre-hire compliance checks
  • Must fulfill FAA criminal background checks to qualify for unescorted access privileges to airport security identification display areas (SIDA), if applicable
