Job Title: Finance Manager
Reporting Line: Business Unit Finance Manager
Division: Al-Futtaim Auto Center (ALAC) - Finance
Location: Dubai, United Arab Emirates
Job Purpose:
- Help business evaluate their strategies and proposed new business plans and to help business prepare feasibility reports.
- Lead the planning & budgeting cycle & help business prepare their budgets, quarterly updates and strategic five year plans.
- Lead and direct the monthly & annual closing & reporting process.
- Prepare monthly management reports and the Board Pack as per agreed deadlines.
- Support BuFM in divisional performance review and variance analysis.
Job Accountabilities:
- Financial Planning and Analysis
- Support and advise BUFM in Project evaluations/feasibility studies for new business opportunities and give recommendation
- Help business prepare AFE’s per company policies & cashflows.
- Support and advise BUFM in Capex spend evaluations.
- Lead the planning/budgeting & forecasting cycles for ALAC & its sister companies.
- Liaise & provide support business to complete the budgets in a timely manner with quality outputs.
- Lead the 5 year strategic planning cycle for ALAC.
- Liaise & provide support business to complete the budgets in a timely manner with quality outputs.
- Preparing Divisional and Retail KPI’s and composites along with complete analysis of financial results versus budget/plans & variance analysis.
- Preparing monthly management reports and reports for management board
- Develop and maintain capital budget.
- Provide analytical support to BUFM in evaluating Divisional pricing strategies
- Financial Reporting & Management
- Lead the monthly closing process & ensure books are closed accurately in a timely manner.
- Lead the annual year-end closing process in a smooth manner.
- Support review of procurement process / analysis and control
- Ensure that all policies and procedures are implemented and followed.
- Ensure that appropriate financial regulations and controls are in place and in use at all times.
- Monitor closely and keep the management updated on regulations affecting the business in overseas ventures.
- Review and advise BUFM in Inventory and Order planning by analysing historical data and validating underlying assumptions.
- Co-ordinate and support Automotive Finance Shared Service (AFSS) team in GL review and accounting related issues
- Budget Management/Analysis
- Monitors expenditures and income related to budgets to assure availability of funds.
- Propose and carry out any remedial action necessary to rectify abnormal variances on budget line items.
- Researches and analyzes discrepancies and processes appropriate correction transactions.
- Cost Optimisation – Maintain the expenses within budget/cut-off with strict monitoring.
- Other Financial tasks
- Ensuring the process on systematic billing and accounting is followed.
- Strict adherence of corporate policies which have financial impact (CAPEX, Travel, Loans & Advance etc.)
Minimum Qualifications and Knowledge:
- Bachelors degree in Accounting/Finance/Commerce.
- Chartered Accountancy//CIMA/ACCA/MBA (Finance) is a must.
Minimum Experience:
- A minimum of 5years experience in finance management preferably within an automotive sector.
- Experience in leading the planning & reporting cycle of a big organization.
- Experience in a Big 4 will be a plus.
