About The Job
The Specialist, Planning and Production is a member of the Digital Campus Experience team responsible for delivering best in class digital media into campus environments. You will be responsible for delivering on the goal of connecting team members to what is happening on campus and around the system. In this role, you will need to blend news and immersive design to capture the attention of team members across the campus in a simple and unexpected way. Utilizing a dynamic schedule and compelling visuals, you will ensure team members feel that the content is fresh, unique and thoughtful in terms of when and how information is displayed.
Specifically, you’ll do the following:
- Ability to develop seven-day media schedules that encompass twelve hours of content
- Balance data visualizations with news content
- Manage campus and specific business unit event postings
- Gather and produce content under tight deadlines and frequency in an accurate manner
- Utilize your strong editorial background to partner with content contributors and various stakeholders to ensure message consistency with desired platform
- Gather meaningful news and information from various sources and compile them into one story
- Provide copy editing expertise to match the platform needs
- Manage requests and development of extended campus and field publishing initiatives
- Lead content publication efforts related to field and extended campus screens
- Meet tight deadlines to program and schedule content on highly visible extended campus and field displays
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or relevant experience in communication, marketing or a related degree
- 2+ years of experience in digital content strategy and delivery
- Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite: InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, and Acrobat
- Ability to visually communicate on large format screens
- Some proficiency in HTML needed
- Experience using WordPress or other content management systems
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with teams
- Excellent judgment on good typography with color, design, and layout
- Ability to plan, develop, monitor, and manage a significant, detailed production schedule of multiple projects simultaneously with flexibility, and a proven ability to stay on schedule and budget
