Senior Arabic Content Translator at Nagwa
Location : Nasr City
Job Description:
- Translating scientific content including, but not limited to, mathematics, physics, and chemistry from English to Arabic
- Handling and coordinating tasks related to the translation process
- Mentoring and training new team members
- Maintaining and updating glossaries and translation guidelines
- Sampling and reviewing final translations to check for the quality of the translated content
- Localizing Arabic content to suit different Arabic dialects
- Making sure the translated content adheres to Nagwa’s in-house style guide and glossaries
- Researching scientific notations and terms across different Arabic-speaking locales
Job Requirements:
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in translation or any related field
Relevant Experience:
- 3+ years of relevant experience
Technical Knowledge/ Skills/ Training required:
- Experience in translating scientific or educational content
- Excellent command of Arabic and English
- Background in content localization is a plus
- Ability to determine the suitable tone and style that best suits the target audience
- Good management skills
- Good communication skills and a positive attitude
- Good research skills
- Good organizational skills
- Creative and critical thinking skills
- Ability to give and receive feedback in a constructive and well-formed manner
- Self-motivation and proactivity
- Accuracy and attention to detail
- Willingness to learn and research various topics related to science and technology
- Knowledge of different Arab cultures
