Analytics & Big Data Business Development Manager at Oracle – UAE
Job Description:
- Analyze customer needs, identify opportunities and decide the need of strategic focus and investment.
- Understand customer requirements and convert them into the most appropriate Oracle Big Data Analytics solution
- Create and execute in conjunction with the EMEA Head of Analytics & Big Data the Analytics & Big Data go to market plan for MEA
- Initiate, run and follow up on business development activities and generate demand for big data and analytics solutions within the market.
- Create pipeline to substantial level so that conversion to opportunities achieves revenue objective
- Help internal sales teams to achieve the revenue target for big data and analytics in the assigned region within EMEA.
- Deliver sales enablement sessions to help internal sales teams to successfully position Oracle’s Big Data Analytics value proposition
- Coordinate big data analytics proof of value/concepts and pilot projects
- Develop and deliver high quality, customized Oracle presentations and demonstrations to meet customer and partner needs big data analytics related requirements
- Work with regional sales, pre-sales, consultancy teams and partners to drive end-to-end digital transformation
- Evangelize big data and analytics value proposition at internal and external events
- Be confident and experienced working with global teams/customers located in multiple geographical locations
Job Requirements:
Education:
- University graduate, Masters degree an advantage
Relevant Experience:
- 8+ years of relevant sales and/or business development experience
Technical Knowledge/ Skills/ Training required:
- Excellent knowledge of the Middle East and African markets.
- Excellent understanding of analytics, big data, machine learning and data science concepts
- Industry experience in telecommunications, retail, financial services, insurance, health care or manufacturing industries is an advantage
- Strong knowledge of NoSQL technologies and Hadoop-based architectures, Map Reduce, Spark, HBase, etc.
- Technical hands on experience on big data analytics platforms is an advantage
- Strong presentation skills and experience interacting with business leaders
- Strong problem solving, organizational, decision-making skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of dynamic and multinational teams
- An eagerness to work in a high pressured, fast moving and challenging environment.
- Substantial international travel in line with business requirements
- Fluent in English, additional languages are a plus
