About The Job

The Manager, Campus Digital Experience is a member of the Digital and Creative team, working to ensure a consistent and brand-focused visual aesthetic of the American’s digital and web-based communications and in collaboration with departments across the company. Your team will focus on initiatives that deliver storytelling and business education using data visualization and immersive design.  Which is why we need a creative, innovative detail-oriented, leader who can drive our initiative to integrate digital and media into the built environment delivering on the goal of immersive content experiences.

Duties and Responsibilities
 

  • Lead the team responsible for enterprise digital screen strategy and content
  • Ensure creative direction is followed and maintained providing a premium and thoughtful experience.
  • Lead the signage team in developing workflows that deliver content 24/7 across signage platforms with storytelling that is optimized for each screen experience.
  • Actively use data and metrics to inform editorial and strategic decisions and create accountability for results
  • Partner with the editorial team and marketing team to create three-screen synergy (Skyview, Extended Campus, Field) around news content, marketing campaigns and recognition
  • Lead the digital signage team in identifying innovative technologies, processes and new data visualizations
  • Help develop and maintain the digital signage identity and ensure that visual and graphic standards are adhered to consistently
  • Effectively present creative concepts and communicate functionality through design documents
  • Leverage our editorial calendar to build a 30, 60, 90-day content strategy
  • Approach content development through a multimedia storytelling lens
  • Estimate and negotiate costs with vendors, and maintain quality control of outside production.
  • Oversee any/all aspects of production for design projects including schedules, routing, and approvals to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing or equivalent experience field
  • 5-7 years of content experience, including at least 2-3 years managing others
  • Solid editorial judgment and a news philosophy that emphasizes accuracy and speed
  • Ability to calmly handle live, breaking news situations and the ability to deal with the rapid pace of news
  • Knowledge of online CMS and signage production systems with a passion and vision for emerging media
  • Experience analyzing data and identifying behavioral trends
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Experience using Adobe Creative suite
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Superior organizational planning, budgetary, and project timeline abilities
