Every day, we go beyond what's expected and reach for the remarkable, together. **POSITION INFORMATION** Role Summary The Manager Inflight Strategy Execution partners closely with Inflight leadership, strategizing and executing on vision by influencing the prioritization of objectives, setting and carrying out actions, and communicating with frontline and management employees. As a people leader, the manager leads and establishes priorities for a team of professionals in addition to preparing meeting presentations, speeches, reports, communications and divisional dashboards. This role partners closely with Corporate Communications on broad internal and external communications. Additionally, this role leads strategy for flight attendant engagement, feedback, internal and external, and recognition, and prioritizing implementation of improvements while acting as a liaison with Horizon Inflight. Scope & Complexity This people leader role requires forward-thinking, interaction with senior leadership, and working knowledge in organizational change, communications, employee engagement and change management. The individual reports directly to the MD of Inflight Strategy & Support and should be a highly collaborative self-starter with the ability to work independently and enjoys finding ways to improve the business without direction. Key Duties - Contribute to the long-term (12+ month horizon) division strategy and lead division leadership by prioritizing objectives related to culture, engagement, recognition, business analysis, organizational changes, feedback, and communication, from planning through execution, and measuring results. - Partner with the Corporate Communications Inflight liaison and represent Inflight as a subject matter expert for division messaging development and execution. Lead on key projects and deliver alignment and progress updates of divisional strategies and communications. - Identify emerging Inflight division issues and review inquiries that require action or direction from division VP and MDs providing business insight, making novel recommendations to implement changes in creative, innovative and effective ways. - Make decisions related to and execute on the approach, flow, and style of two-way division communication to maximize awareness, understanding, belief and engagement. - Connect company vision and strategy to department goals and business needs. - Collaborate with key stakeholders and executives to develop plans for internal and external monthly, quarterly and yearly events, team meetings, speaking engagements, internal and external communications from leadership including companywide communications, reports, meeting presentations, and speeches. - Lead team to identify continuous improvement opportunities, perform root cause analysis, develop solutions to complex, ambiguous problems, solicit feedback from flight attendants on specific issues, and maintain the list of eligible flight attendants to work on special projects. - Develop people through effective performance management and ongoing feedback, focusing on delegation for stretch assignments, growing and developing the team for capacity and growth, looking at performance across the team, and time management. - Shape culture of team through action, presence, and reinforcement of behaviors. Job-Specific Experience, Education & Skills Required - A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in developing and delivering employee communications or acting in a strategic advisory leadership capacity. - A minimum of 4 years of operational leadership experience in a fast-paced environment with at least 2 years directly leading people. - Bachelor of Arts or a Bachelor of Science degree. - An equivalent combination of training, experience, and education will be considered in lieu of required experience and/or degree. - Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint, Yammer, Teams, and OneNote). - Available for frequent overnight travel (10%). - In possession of valid travel document with the ability to travel in and out of the United States. - Able to work flexible hours and be available for an emergency response on short notice. - Must pass a ten (10) year background check and pre-employment drug test. - High school diploma or equivalent is required. - Minimum age of 18. - Must be authorized to work in the U.S. Preferred - Outstanding written and verbal communication and presentation skills; able to communicate clearly and concisely speaking to strategy, defending decisions, and gaining alignment. - Strong organizational skills with exceptional follow-through and attention to detail. - Experience establishing and implementing processes and/or systems. - Experience leading teams through process improvement projects, developing creative and cost effective solutions seeing the project through successful implementation. - Ability to think strategically, resolve problems, and multi-task independently. - Proven ability to influence change.
