Every day, we go beyond what's expected and reach for the remarkable, together. **POSITION INFORMATION** Role Summary The Senior HR Systems Analyst provides subject matter expertise on human resources and payroll- related systems, data integration, and SaaS solutions for Alaska Airlines and Horizon Air. As an individual contributor this highly autonomous role exercises considerable judgement to drive business insight, system process improvements, and policy changes through research and recommendations to executive management. analyst evaluate SaaS and on-premises human capital management (HCM) system updates, collaborate on technical solutions, and design audits to ensure data integrity. This Analyst leads significant projects across divisions and ensures strategic goals, timelines, and project specifications are met. Scope & Complexity This senior-level, individual contributor role supports human resources systems analysis for Alaska Airlines and Horizon Air. Key Duties - Act a subject matter expert in systems analysis to research and recommend business and system process improvements, innovative solutions, best practices, policy changes, and alternate methods to serve internal customers. - With minimal direction from leadership, exercise considerable judgement to partner with stakeholders to gather and document requirements, map processes, perform gap analysis, and manage resources to deliver business requirements. - Provide primary support for internally designated critical system, PeopleSoft HCM. - Evaluate and make recommendations for the functionality of SaaS and on-premises HR system updates and analyze potential impact to current business processes. - Take product ownership of all system updates and upgrades and bi-directional integration of human resources data to/from other critical systems and applications (e.g. Active Directory, TIBCO, PeopleSoft Financials, Crew Tracking) and external business partners. - Collaborate closely with ITS applications developers to design, test, and implement technical solutions. - Guide and coach junior systems analyst team members. - Lead testing and implementation efforts of new systems or system functionality. - Inform and educates end-users on enhancements. - Design and analyze audits to ensure human resources and payroll data integrity. - Provide subject matter expertise and identifies opportunities to train or communicate information to the HR Systems team, HR organization, Payroll end-users, and employees using HR systems to facilitate efficiencies and to improve data integrity and user acceptance. - Respond to user data and compliance requests with accurate and complete data reports (e.g., SOX, EEO1, VETS-100). - Design and build custom and dynamic reports from a variety of systems for distribution to stakeholders. Job-Specific Skills, Experience and Education Required - A minimum of 4 years of experience functionally supporting PeopleSoft or a similar system. - A Bachelor of Arts or a Bachelor of Science degree, with a focus in computer science, human resources, business administration, or related discipline, or an additional two years of training/experience in lieu of this degree. - High-level understanding of system data structures and human resources and payroll processes, with a proven ability to learn new systems quickly. - Experience with application configuration, interface design, self-service technologies and data transfer processes. - Understanding and effective application of project management techniques for moderate to highly complex projects. - Proven ability to lead the design, development, documentation, and testing of business processes within the human resources and payroll applications. - Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to collect and analyze data and present findings. - Advanced PeopleSoft HCM query writing skills. - Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook), with strong analytical skills and the ability to utilize Excel for data analysis and reporting. - Excellent communication and customer service skills to resolve end-user issues quickly and accurately, as well as the ability to develop reports that meet customer requirements. - Ability and willingness to work a flexible schedule to support business needs (e.g., evenings or weekends). - High school diploma or equivalent. - Minimum age of 18. - Must be authorized to work in the U.S. Preferred - 5 years of human resources or payroll experience. - Systems implementation experience. - Professional in Human Resources (PHR) or Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) certification. - Experience with Oracle SQL to retrieve data.
