About The Job
This job is a member of the Corporate Safety Team within the Integrated Operations Division. This position will be responsible for supporting the operation in reducing employee injuries and working with stakeholders on developing mitigation actions. This will include involvement with any SMS activities (data analysis, investigation, safety promotion, etc.)
Specifically, you’ll do the following:
- Provides internal customers with accurate and informative employee safety analysis
- Makes recommendations to the operations on ways to encourage safe work practices
- Identifies and communicates the impact of human factors
- Assists in developing corrective actions related to employee safety
- Builds and maintains effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Serves as a consultant or advocate on employee safety issues and other programs/projects
- Develops, encourages and insists upon a culture of safety and compliance
- Supports team members when appropriate
- Ability to travel and work various shifts including weekends, holidays and days off if necessary
- security identification display areas (SIDA), if applicable
- Must be able to secure appropriate airport authority and/or US Customs security badges, if applicable
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED equivalency
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- 3 years job related experience
- Strong aptitude for problem solving
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills along with an ability to work well with others in a collaborative setting
- Ability to write, create and present plans and presentations that are focused and persuasive
- Familiarity with aviation procedures and airport operations
- Effective organization and planning skills
- Knowledge of analytical software applications and an ability to understand and share statistics
- Understand the impact of human factors
- Working knowledge of OSHA regulations
