ITS – ICT Specialist at PARSONS – UAE

Job Description:

• Knowledge and Understanding of Design of the Tier 3 Data Centre with fully redundancy/ high available infrastructure
• Knowledge and Understanding of Design IPv4 and IPv6 for Schema at the enterprise level mark
• Knowledge and Understanding of Design and Setup ICT Infrastructure i.e. Network, Server, Storage with ACTIVE/Standby Failover.
• Ability to review RFP, Design or any Technical Specification’s Document.
• Ability to understand different transmission medium and has a clear concept on network signal’s transmitted through metallic and fiber optic transmission medium.
• Knowledge and Understanding of designing a robust building and campus backbone distribution systems including cabling, IP Telephony, Access control system
• Knowledge and Understanding of design and develop specification’s for horizontal cabling systems to support applications such as voice, data, audio/video and BMS services.
• Knowledge and Understanding of develop firestop guidelines for reestablishing integrity of fire rated structures and assemblies such as walls, floors, ceiling as they are penetrated by Pipes, Conduits, Cables, Cable Trays and Ducts.
• Knowledge and Understanding of develop power specification document for large, small data centers, server rooms and IDF rooms. The ICT specialist should be responsible to develop a guideline for power redundancy, power conditioning, monitoring and control systems.
• Ability to thoroughly read and understand test reports for a new installation of structure cabling systems i.e. copper, fiber optic or ELV. Optionally, ability to test structure cabling system.
• Knowledge to read CATX structure Cabling drawing and manage complex connectivity.
• Ability to perform ICT review and analysis of risks, benefits and opportunities associated with architectural strategies and focused in a balanced approached with a focus on operational functionality
• Ability to prepare network specifications by consulting with stakeholders; analysing workflow, access, information, and security requirements.
• Secure network by developing network access, monitoring, control, and evaluation. Analyzing, troubleshooting and correcting network problems remotely and also on-site. And protects organization’s value by keeping information confidential.
• Knowledge of Servers Administration, Security updates and patches. with company policies and industrial standards.
• Plan and Initiate data backups and disaster recovery operations. And testing periodically for the data integrity in the tapes.
• Manage and assist other ICT Infrastructure Team members and ICT Support Engineers.
• Preparing business cases for new projects / change requests

Job Requirements:

Education:

•  Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or related field.

Relevant Experience:

• Seven or more years in Designing ICT Infrastructure.
