Program Controls Manager at PARSONS – UAE
Job Description:
- Manage project consultation on factors affecting timely completion of projects.
- Perform progress analysis and reporting.
- Prepare plans and schedules, status reports and performance evaluations.
- Analyze progress reports against the schedule.
- Maintain liaison with the project and the field for monthly / bi-monthly updates.
- Support the project management in accomplishing project status review and performance control.
- Coordinate supervision of scheduling, cost controls, and engineering personnel assigned to projects under his/her direction.
- Perform a variety of cost engineering functions encompassing cost / budget control, forecasting, and cost reporting under limited supervision.
- Support the Head of Program Controls on overall program controls.
- Promptly anticipate cost overages or other unsatisfactory cost or schedule elements and prepare advance warnings and exception reports.
- Maintain liaison with client’s financial staff. Reconcile and coordinate program and project cost data with client’s program and project status reports.
- Collect project reports (within and outside PMO work streams) and evaluate for completeness; consolidate into sub-program level for vertical reporting.
- Monitor compliance of General Contractors to key contractual elements relative to project controls.
- Lead and motivate the project controls team.
- Perform other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
Job Requirements:
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management or a work-related equivalent.
Relevant Experience:
- 10+ of related experience in scheduling, cost planning/control, budget analysis, and commercial management on engineering and/or construction projects.
- 5 years of experience in aviation / airport programs.
- Experience in integrated reporting platforms combining multiple software applications a plus.
Technical Knowledge/ Skills/ Training required:
- Practical problem-solving ability with experience in risk assessment, developing advanced level analysis.
- Ability to work under minimal supervision and effectively manage multiple/changing priorities.
- Exceptional analytical skills to effectively evaluate system performance, troubleshooting and mastery of continuous process improvement tools.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to interface with and relate complex concepts/issues with all levels.
- Excellent leadership, mentoring and team work skills with the ability to effectively transfer technical expertise to less experienced project control professionals.
- Strong computer skills including SAP, Microsoft Office Products, Primavera P6.
