Job Description:
1. Coordinate with the assistant of the LHD National Programme Officer the design and implementation of interventions;
2. Coordinate, together with the LHD National Programme Officer, the implementation of alternatives to irregular migration and vocational training activities on the ground and serve as the focal point between national stakeholders and IOM;
3. Support the implementation the assigned project/s activities on a daily basis, including procurement of needed items, financial disbursement and monitoring; capacity building of National Officials in migration-related topics is needed and assist in the communication for the organization of seminars, Training of Trainers (ToT) and workshops as guided by LHD National Programme Officer;
4. Support in ensuring the effective financial management and monitor related assigned projects activities, as well as support in the management and donor reports, in close coordination with the Resource Management and Project Coordination Units;
5. Support the LHD National Programme Officer in maintaining partnerships with relevant Government entities, civil society organizations, private sector agencies, UN agencies and other stakeholders to support the implementation of the project and other relevant projects and initiatives;
6. Draft correspondence and communications, in Arabic and English, with partners and stakeholders on programmatic matters; ensure IOM and donor visibility as per respective guidelines through events, press briefing notes, IOM’s and partners’ websites and social media outlets, in close coordination with the Project Coordination Unit;
7. Organize assessment visits with relevant authorities and key stakeholders in order to assess the implementation of project/s activities;
8. Attend meetings with donors and other stakeholders to present project results and communicate with relevant government authorities and other partners in support of project development and implementation, as required and in coordination with the LHD Programme Manager;
9. Support the LHD National Programme Officer in identifying possible synergies with other IOM interventions as relevant;
10. Undertake in-country duty travel related to programme/project monitoring, assessment and problem-solving, as requested; and,
11. Perform any other duties that may be assigned.
