Head of PR, Amazon Operations, MENA at Amazon – UAE

Job Description:

• Lead proactive PR announcements and related activities for Amazon Ops in MENA
  · Protect and promote the reputation of the Amazon Operations business
  · Develop and manage relationships with key media contacts
  · Develop key messaging and plans aligned to the company strategy
  · Work closely with Consumer PR, Internal Communications, Community Engagement and Public Policy teams – and other internal groups – to ensure resources, plans and activities are aligned
  · Build and execute PR plans, securing leadership approval and alignment
  · Successfully manage complex, fast-moving and unexpected PR challenges
  · Help manage an external public relations agency on strategy and day-to-day matters
  · Act as a key Amazon spokesperson in the region

Job Requirements:

Relevant Experience::

· 10+ communications experience in either in-house or agency role

Technical Knowledge/ Skills/ Training required:

• Track record of delivery on major communications and PR campaigns
  · Good English skills with a high standard of written English expected
  · Strong project management, communication, time management, organizational skills
  · An understanding of logistics or a manufacturing background would be helpful
  · Fluent in Arabic
