About The Job

This Infrastructure Technical Lead position is a member of the Revenue and Planning Technology team within the Information Technology Division and is responsible for developing and supporting multiple applications used by the Revenue Management and Network Planning business units.  As a member of this agile team, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to work in a collaborative environment with internal customers, business analysts, project managers, IT architects, developers and other infrastructure engineers to understand requirements and development needs while gaining valuable experience and skills.

 

Specifically, you’ll do the following:

  • Provides technical leadership to infrastructure and application development teams to advance technology by utilizing knowledge of multiple technologies and platforms
  • Works with product teams to create detailed specifications, requirements, estimates and ensures tasks/projects are completed on time and within scope
  • Participate in early stage hardware & software definition and prototype evaluation
  • Provides technical design recommendations
  • Defines IaC standards and adhere to best practices and security guidelines
  • Automate infrastructure provisioning and application deployments using DevOps tools
  • Define standards for configuration, monitoring, reliability and performance and participates in infrastructure delivery and validation reviews
  • Provide guidance on implementation and support of the platforms and applications
  • Participate in creating and maintaining service roadmaps

  • Troubleshoots and debugs complex issues; identify and implements solutions

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Technology, Information Systems (CIS/MIS), Engineering or related technical discipline, or equivalent experience/training
  • 5+ years of progressive experience with a broad understanding of current and emerging technologies
  • 3+ years of experience as a WebSphere and Tomcat administrator
  • 3+ years of experience of system administration on either RHEL 6/7 or Window 2008+
  • 2+ years of total experience with Java, HTML, Java Script, and/or other web development technologies
  • Proficient in developing and delivering software using agile methodologies.
  • Experience working with Docker Containers, Kubernetes and  Cloud Foundry
  • Experience in IBM WebSphere Architecture, Design and Support of Enterprise scale deployments.
  • Strong networking fundamentals and working knowledge of firewalls, load balancers, etc.
  • Solid understanding of Java design patterns and best practices
  • Experience supporting and delivering in a DevOps environment using tools like Git, Jenkins, Maven, Docker, Selenium, Puppet/Chef/Ansible
  • Knowledge of database and persistence layers such as: Oracle, SqlServer, PostgreSql, NoSql, Object Storage
  • Thorough understanding of software development life cycles, development and technology tools, testing methodologies and requirements gathering
  • Possesses strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Passion for change and continual improvement with ability to effectively lead, drive and support change

  • Ability to scrutinize applications and services to ensure they adhere to security standards
  • Ability to explain technical concepts and adjust messaging based on the audience, including non-technical groups

  • Proficient in authoring, editing and presenting technical documents using Microsoft Office Tools (Project, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
