This job is a member of the Information Technology Team, within the Information Technology Division. The Customer Technology Infrastructure team is looking for a highly skilled and exceptional Infrastructure Engineer to support current platforms and integrate new technologies to improve infrastructure delivery.
Specifically, you’ll do the following:
- Provide on-going support for existing systems
- Perform or coordinate gathering, review, and analysis of data and data integrity
- Manage system configurations, system access, and analyze and recommend enhancements to improve system operations
- Manage communication on support issues, create system reference guide, training material, and system and process diagrams, as well as Runbooks updates
- Perform quarterly operating system patching for supported platforms
- Perform scheduled patching of software development applications, such as Java JDK.
- Participate in planning, designing, developing, testing, and supporting of systems and interfaces within current projects
- Install and test infrastructure hardware and software
- Monitor performance of platforms and determine opportunities to refine the configuration of a component and/or determine new system requirements
- Proactively identify, investigate, and mitigate potential IT platform issues, and provide alternative approaches and solutions
- Stay current with systems technology best practices and quickly adapt to emerging technologies
- Work with cross functional teams to support Infrastructure Platforms, including enterprise services, application teams, vendors, and business partners
- Provide appropriate and timely feedback on the status of current efforts
- Encourage an environment of sharing and team work among the team.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Technology, Information Systems (CIS/MIS), Engineering or related technical discipline, or equivalent experience/training
- 3 years of experience as a systems or infrastructure engineer or administrator
- Advanced ability to plan strategically for current and future business environments, including future technology and business design changes to create flexible, scalable solutions
- In-depth knowledge of IT business operations, systems requirements, and processes
- Demonstrated experience in the following:
- Windows and Linux (RHEL) administration
- Management and support of VMWare environments
- Server load balancing, clustering, and other application scaling concepts
- Scripting to automate frequently executed activities
- Orchestration of Infrastructure using Ansible and/or SaltStack
- Supporting private and public cloud platforms, such as Cloud Foundry, IBM Cloud, and Microsoft Azure
- Security components, such as SiteMinder, LDAP, SSL certificates, and other third party security products
- Messaging queues such as IBM MQ, Kafka, and RabbitMQ

- Container platform management and orchestration using Docker, Kubernetes, and/or Swarm
- Demonstrated initiative, flexibility, and ability to adapt to changing priorities and work environments
- Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously with a keen desire to learn and expand depth of knowledge
- Ability to work independently and manage one’s time.
- Ability to thrive in a sense-of-urgency environment and leverage best practices
- Ability to analyze complex problems and implement solutions and/or workarounds
- Experience in DevOps Toolchain methodologies, including Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment
- Proficiency in Agile project management methodology, specifically within the infrastructure area
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and Visio)
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Technology, Information Systems (CIS/MIS), Engineering or related technical discipline, or equivalent experience/training
- 5+ years of experience as a systems or infrastructure engineer or administrator
- Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and written with all levels within the organization
- Ability to explain technical concepts and adjust messaging based on the audience, including non-technical groups
- Ability to influence through outstanding interpersonal skills, collaboration, and negotiation skills
- Ability to work well within a team environment, as well as independently
