About The Job

This job is a member of the Campus Security Team within the Corporate Affairs Division. This position will be responsible for providing work direction to security officers and guards against unauthorized persons or materials entering Company facilities. Also responsible for protecting company grounds, property, employees, clients, vendors, and guests.

 

​​​​Specifically, you’ll do the following:

  • Provides work direction to other security officers and acts as an interdepartmental liaison
  • Ensures security officers comply with Company and Corporate Security policies and procedures
  • Makes sure all security workstations have full coverage at all times with no lapses of coverage during or between shifts
  • Performs all duties of a security officer during scheduled and unscheduled breaks or absences or as situations warrant
  • Monitors all duty assignments during the course of an assigned shift
  • Responds to emergency incidents and security requests
  • Contacts appropriate internal personnel and external agencies including police, fire or paramedics, in the event of an emergency
  • Completes logs and reports of daily activities

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED equivalency
  • Previous law enforcement, military, or security experience
  • Possesses a valid driver's license
  • Maintains the highest regard for confidentiality and professionalism
  • Excellent understanding of Company and Corporate security policies and procedures
  • Ability to perform in a fast paced environment while maintaining a professional and effective approach to high-stress situations
  • Demonstrates solid leadership and decision making skills
  • Ability to work varied hours, including nights, weekends and holidays to work varied hours, including nights, weekends and holidays
  • Ability to pass TSA background and security checks to obtain an airport SIDA badge

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • ​Previous supervisory experience
