About the Role

Manage the Automall business and the certified pre-owned vehicles (CPOV) businesses across all passenger car brands in the UAE as part of the overall management of used cars to ensure key financial measures are achieved while providing growth, sustainability, and delivering shareholder and principal value.  Oversee all used car operations to ensure efficiency, quality, service, and cost-effective management of resources.

Key Accountabilities:

  • To formulate, develop and direct a holistic Automall and CPOV retail and trade sales business strategy and activity to achieve budgeted targets in respect of financial and trading performance whilst continually enhancing the organizational culture, value and reputation in the market with all employees, customers, principals and regulatory bodies.
  • Lead and run the operations of Automall across the UAE and all passenger car brands CPOV showrooms and sales teams. 
  • To formulate, develop and direct Automall and CPOV after-sales business strategy and activity to achieve budgeted targets in respect of financial and trading performance.
  • To achieve revenue and profit targets set out for Automall and CPOV.
  • To agree and implement Automall Retailer sales standards on systems and processes for achieving compliance, adopting best business practice and ensuring optimum commercial results.
  • To develop and manage buyer database in market ensuring maximum return and efficient stock management of sale vehicles.
  • Improve operational cost-effectiveness by ensuring the best deployment of assets, systems, finance and human resources.
  • To produce monthly performance management reports for all areas of responsibility.
  • Recruit, motivate and develop staff ensuring that objectives are established and communicated; individual performance is supported, monitored and reviewed, to ensure manpower plans are met.

 

About You

Minimum Qualifications and Knowledge:

  • A business or university degree is preferred.
  • Exert knowledge of and experience in the Automotive industry and markets is essential.
  • Experience and expertise in the used car and CPOV field is essential with knowledge of complete Auto business model and value chain.
  • Commercial acumen, clear strategic thinking and ability to create buy-in and influence at a senior level.

Minimum Experience:

  • 10 years overall experience in used cars and CPOV, preferably in relation to the UAE or GCC region.
  • The candidate should have experience managing teams, both through direct line management and in a matrix set up.  
  • The preferred candidate must demonstrate effective project management, communication and organizational skills with proven completion of mid to large scale projects.
