Intro

Role Summary
This Finance role will be leading analyst(s) and work closely with regional leaders in Asia Pacific to proactively identify and develop solutions to improve the performance of the division. The person will partner with other departments in Asia Pacific, work as a bridge between silo organizations and take lead in cross functional projects.  

What you'll do

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities 
 To work as a proactive partner to the leaders of Asia Pacific division, supporting them with financial planning and analysis.
 To lead the team effectively by living AA’s leadership principles.
 To co-ordinate, develop and implement the annual operating and capital budget.
 To participate in monthly close and forecast process and analysis of variances to plan.
 To review airport manning, capital projects, service contracts and other cost saving opportunities in their region.
 To serve as lead on significant projects and take initiative to continuously improve the processes of the finance team.
 To develop strong internal network and working relationships with customers.
 To lead the EAP Business Planning in Sr. Managers absence. 
 To own and manage leadership forum for Asia Pacific.

All you'll need for success

Person Specification
 
 Essential
 Experience in financial planning, analysis and control.
 Expertise in developing financial models to justify investment and spending decisions.
 Ability to proactively identify business opportunities.
 Be able to simply and concisely explain complex financial analyses to varied audiences, including senior management.
 Strong influencing skills, including with colleagues from different departments.
 Work hours flexibility & travel flexibility (London, Dallas, Asia & Pacific)
 Advanced Excel skills (including data manipulation & pivot tables).
 Results orientated and self-motivated
 A degree in business studies or equivalent.

Desirable
 Knowledge of StaffPlan or equivalent.
 Knowledge of SAP and/or Hyperion Essbase.
 Knowledge of the airline industry.
 Master degree in Business or other relevant field.
