Corporate and Commercial Law Senior Consultant at EY – UAE
Job Description:
- You will spend your time supporting the successful delivery of legal advisory projects as a key part of the delivery team. You will also be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with clients and contribute to winning new clients both internally and externally. As part of a global entity, you can also expect to manage leads and opportunities from other areas of the law practice and the wider EY network and help them do the same.
- Moreover, you will be a core contributor to the development of the legal practice through initiatives such as delivering internal training, developing precedents, sharing knowhow, participating in team and firm events, giving internal and external presentations, and producing expert articles for publications.
- As part of the Corporate and Commercial team, you will work on a broad range of legal advisory matters, including, day-to-day advice to companies of all legal forms on corporate and commercial matters, structuring and re-structuring projects, corporate transactions (M&A and Joint Ventures), market entry and route-to-market advice and advising clients on ongoing contractual relationships with domestic and international counterparties.
Job Requirements:
Relevant Experience:
- At least 2 years of post-qualification experience as a qualified lawyer from a reputable legal practice environment in the UAE.
Technical Knowledge/ Skills/ Training required:
- Previous experience in delivering employment and labor law advice in the UAE.
- Strong client relationship-building capabilities combined with strategic and commercial awareness.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, self-management, and project management skills.
- Good business development skills; able to identify and convert opportunities to sell work.
- The ability to get up to speed quickly.
- Keenness to continue developing your legal skills and engaging in new areas of work.
- An enthusiastic, flexible and positive approach to work and challenges.
