The Campus Specialist reports to Talent Acquisition leadership and is accountable to deliver the best talent with the right combination of skills and experience to drive organizational impact while supervising a small team. The Campus Specialist acts as talent acquisition consultant to the business and is responsible for advising on the selection of the best candidates while mentoring, developing, and leading other Talent Advisors on their team. They are accountable to partner with sourcing resources in managing the talent pipeline, while managing the recruitment strategies to support and fill business recruiting needs. The Campus Specialist will support the talent acquisition efforts for a business unit or units and/or specific functions and/or geographies. The Campus Specialist acts in an individual and supervisory capacity, and will work closely with the hiring managers and strategic partners to accomplish departmental and overall business goals.

What you'll do
  • Uses consultative approach to partner with hiring managers for identified businesses/functions to understand and prioritize job opening requirements, and influences staffing decisions according to business needs
  • Gains agreement on service level agreements and sets clear expectations with hiring manager
  • Engages with the Talent Acquisition sourcing partner and facilitates the assessment process with the hiring manager by conducting thorough intake sessions, clarifying staffing needs and responsibilities, and ensuring job descriptions reflect accurate knowledge, skills and abilities required
  • Supports Talent Acquisition Manager to execute and deliver on departmental goals while developing, supervising and leading a small team
  • Provides guidance and influence to business leaders to ensure the right people are hired for the right positions at the right time
  • Acts as a resource to hiring managers on conducting behavioral interviewing, and facilitates selection process and discussion, in order to ensure effective, legal interviewing practices
  • Manages positive external applicant experience throughout the recruitment process
  • Influences overall hiring process to achieve timeliness and agreements
  • Assists hiring manager in developing and gaining approval for competitive offer packages
  • Facilitates understanding of offer components to gain offer acceptance with the applicant
  • Significant domestic travel during peak hiring periods (40%)
All you'll need for success

Minimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, HR or related experience
  • Excellent relationship management skills, ability to establish credibility, and partner with leaders to identify talent gaps, needs, risk and plans for actions
  • Experience in mentoring, developing, and leading small teams
  • Strong customer orientation and influencing skills
  • General knowledge of employment law and compliance regulations
  • Experience with competency-based interviews and assessment techniques
  • Strategic, creative and innovative thinking skills, and the ability to exercise sound judgment

Preferred Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience

  • Minimum three (3) years’ experience in a human resources function with campus recruiting experience strongly preferred
  • Knowledge of workforce planning (forecast, identify specific needs, skills, locations, and behaviors) is a plus
  • Prior experience with large enterprise ATS systems is a plus
  • Able and willing to undertake Domestic travel as required
