  • This job is a member of the Information Technology Team, within the Information Technology Division. The Audio Visual Solutions team will support Audio/Visual & Conference Room technology needs for all American Airlines. Additionally, the Lead, IT Network Infrastructure will partner with other vertical teams to provide support for the new Skyview campus.
  • This role is responsible for supervising a team of engineers/developers engaged for the delivery, implementation, and support for Audio Visual and digital signage solutions.
What you'll do
  • Create strategy and roadmap for Audio Visual portfolio
  • Prioritize break/fix activities
  • Remove roadblocks
  • Lead, train, and mentor team members
  • Maintain system reliability and availability
  • Work closely with other groups within Enterprise Technology Services to adapt best practices
  • Develops and maintains processes to ensure agility and high quality of services provided
  • Ensure risk compliance for technology components
  • Evaluates and forecasts financial/staffing needs to meet the needs and objectives
  • Recognizes potential process improvement situations and drives change
  • Write financial justifications for improvement and project deliverables
  • Work with customers to understand requirements and help provide solutions
  • Manage budget and forecasting for the given portfolio
  • Ensure disaster recovery plans are reviewed and tested timely
  • Conduct team meetings, 1on1s, and performance conversations
All you'll need for success

Minimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Technology, Information Systems (CIS/MIS), Engineering or related technical discipline, or equivalent experience/training
  • 5 years of experience with Audio Visual technologies
  • 3 years of IT leadership experience

Preferred Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience

  • Airline industry experience
  • Ability to recruit, develop and lead team

Skills, Licenses & Certifications

  • Proven ability to build, cultivate, and promote strong relationships with internal customers at all levels of the organization, as well as with IT counterparts, business partners, and external groups.
  • Ability to lead teams, work cross-functionally, build consensus on challenging issues, and work in a collaborative environment with geographically dispersed resources
  • Proficiency in handling operational issues effectively, and understating escalation, communication, and crisis management
  • Strong understanding of Agile methodology, as well as ability to lead teams to perform and evolve in a DevOps environment
  • Demonstrated initiative, flexibility, and ability to adapt to changing priorities
  • Proven ability to establish and manage short term tactical goals, as well as, long term strategic objectives
  • Understanding of technical problems and solutions in relation to the current environment
  • Strong presentation and analytical skills, and possess a strong desire to work in a fast-paced environment
