Overview

Role Summary

FAA Airframe & Power-plant Certificated Aircraft Maintenance Technician, accomplishing routine and non-routine line maintenance for AA and any customer airlines.

 

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities     

  • To provide Line maintenance and troubleshooting on AA & customer aircraft types B757, B767, B777, B787 and A330.
  • To ensure compliance with safety directives & application of safe work methods
  • To accomplish assigned checks and remedial work in a timely fashion
  • To perform tasks and complete all documentation in a timely accurate & comprehensive manner
  • To be competent in all disciplines of aircraft maintenance
  • To be able to perform troubleshooting on their own
  • To ensure rules and regulations of FAA and other agencies and authorities are complied with.

 

General

  • To take reasonable care of the health and safety of self, as well as the safety of others who may be affected by his/her acts or omissions.  To co-operate with AA as far as is necessary to enable AA to comply with all relevant statutory provisions. To immediately report serious risks or concerns over safety issues
  • To comply with the AA Rules of Conduct Europe & Pacific and work within the context of all Company’s policies & procedures
  • To maintain a standard of dress code that is appropriate to the role and in accordance with the Company’s uniform/dress policy
  • To be aware of and sensitive to differences and work in a way consistent with the principles of equal opportunities and anti-discriminatory practice
  • To maintain and respect confidentiality at all times and to ensure adherence to the Company’s Confidentiality Policy (currently under review)
  • To actively participate in regular coaching & counseling meetings, performance reviews and development meetings

Qualifications

  • A valid FAA Airframe/Power plant Mechanics License  or a valid EASA Licence
  • A valid UK driving Licence or equivalent
  • A valid passport acceptable within any EU country
  • The right to live and work in the UK without any restrictions.
  • The ability to obtain and ID for unescorted airside access (subject to criminal record check)
  • The ability to read, write, fluently speak and understand the English language
  • A comprehensive knowledge of commercial aviation maintenance
  • The ability to work alone and under pressure in a fast paced environment
  • The ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize workload
  • Ability and willingness to work outside in all weathers on a rotating shift environment (including weekends, bank and public holidays).
  • Proactive approach to all assigned and undertaken work.
  • Willingness to undertake the taxi/tow physical medical examination.
  • Qualifications & experience on Boeing 757,767, 777, 787 and Airbus 330.
  • A recognized aviation apprenticeship.
  • Good technical, analytical and troubleshooting skills
  • Adaptable to change
