This position is part of the Tech Ops Technology organization within the Airline Operations Technology division. This role will be involved in designing, implementing, and supporting systems and solutions for the Tech Ops Training, Engineering, and Quality (TEQ) organization with an emphasis on eEnabled Aircraft ground-based infrastructure and systems.
The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting and strengthening a strong collaborative persistent product team; responsible, cradle to grave, for overall systems solutions; required to be a hands-on expert in Microsoft Windows operating systems; required to be knowledgeable in all aspects of designing, building, and supporting new and existing systems; deliver architecture artifacts for data flow, workflow, logical processes, hardware and operating system environment, including interfaces with other systems; required to be knowledgeable of security (authentication & authorization), integration, and performance tuning.

- Work with analysts to understand functional and non-functional requirements while crafting a technical solution leveraging company and industry best practices and standards
- Communicate a clear technical roadmap on the optimal application of technology to products and services to various stakeholders and balance technical needs with business needs
- Deliver and maintain artifacts and work products in support of the architecture review, solution development and steady state operations
- Actively participate in requirements analysis, proofs of concepts, and solution lifecycle
- Anticipate and act upon issues that arise, provide alternative approaches, and continuously improve solutions
- Develop prototypes and concepts for new technologies and ideas with the product team
- Create and promote patterns/techniques to accelerate DevOps adoption
- Examine emerging technologies/technology practices and incorporates into architectural solution, when appropriate
- Refine and/or redesign solution architecture to meet the organization’s changing business requirements
- Integrate solutions into the broader business and IT ecosystem
- Deliver architecture recommendations that perform and scale well at enterprise level
- Develop and maintain technical specifications and architecture documents
- Collaborate with Enterprise architects on multiple technical initiatives
- Collaborate with the development teams to refine and confirm the usefulness of the architecture during construction
- Travel as required
Minimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience

- Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills
- Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Technology , Information Systems (CIS/MIS), Engineering or related technical discipline, or equivalent experience/training
- 5+ years of application systems development experience
- 3+ years of architectural and design experience
- Hands-on experience in systems development in a variety of computing architectures and environments
- Knowledge with version control / source code management systems.
- Knowledge with formal build and release management workflows, tools, and activities.
- Strong technical expertise in tiered and distributed architectures, Service Oriented Architecture, Micro Service Architecture, J2EE, Messaging platforms, Relational/NoSQL Databases, Big Data, Application Servers, HTML5 frameworks, UNIX, Linux, Windows, as well as web development and object-oriented methodologies
Continue Minimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Experience
- Knowledge of Unix/Linux operating systems, networking, virtualization, load balancing, database, enterprise authentication and single sign on
- Experience with the operations characteristics of large scale and highly available computer systems deployed in a variety of software and hardware environments
- Knowledge of systems integration practices and understanding of Service Oriented Architecture principles and practices
- Working knowledge of SCCM, Windows and Linux desktop operating systems, power shell, and scripting
- Knowledge of SOX/PCI Compliance
- Experience in working in AGILE framework
- Familiar with DevOps concepts.
Preferred Qualifications
- Hands-on experience with DevOps tool chains, Agile Methodologies, Microsoft Azure, IBM BlueMix, Kubernetes and Docker Containers
- Hands-on experience with cloud deployment patterns, micro-services architecture, real time analytics and big data
- Airline Industry experience, with specialty in the area of eEnabled Aircraft systems
