Every day, we go beyond what's expected and reach for the remarkable, together. **YOUR ROLE** Role Summary This role targets opportunities in the Small Medium Enterprise (SME) sector, grows leads through the corporate landing page, develops lists of prospects, and engages new customers to increase revenue primarily for the Business Value Program and EasyBiz sales programs. This role supports sales efforts to drive incremental revenue through the business travel community and preferred travel management companies; leverages aspects of our commercial offerings and alliance partnerships. This role fosters business relationships with local community and civic leaders to enhance Alaska Airlines' presence in the community in all markets across the United States. Scope & Complexity This individual contributor role supports corporate sales activities for Alaska Airlines and Horizon Air and focuses on all markets across the United States. This role represents Alaska Airlines at industry, community marketing and promotional events. Key Duties - Contributes to the success of Alaska's small business tools by establishing and maintaining long-term relationships with all Business Value Program accounts signed by the SME position. - Helps manage promotions to acquire new customers and collaborates with Anchorage (ANC) sales to advocate internally for further enhancements to the EasyBiz program. - Tactically drives sales plans to develop, implement, and improve appropriate small business programs designed to increase business and maximize return to Alaska Airlines. - Supports a portfolio of Business Value Program (BVP) customers which includes securing new customers. - Follows lead development through various channels. - Uses direct selling tactics to generate business and leads for the sales team at large; to include the use of e-mail and telephone. - Effectively negotiates corporate contracts in accordance with contract guidelines, maximizing return to Alaska Airlines while demonstrating the highest degree of professionalism and integrity. - Helps prepare and implement regional sales plans in accordance with corporate sales objectives, ensuring Alaska Airlines is well-positioned among its competitors, and leverages its position in the marketplace. - Establishes and grows long-term relationships with new and existing accounts that build on ongoing strategies in the marketplace. - Monitors competitive activity within the corporate and agency community and suggests possible strategies to gain a competitive advantage. - Effectively manages and organizes time and resources, maximizing revenue opportunities at the most cost-effective rate for Alaska Airlines. - Protects and grows a preference for Alaska Airlines in the unmanaged business travel community with accountability to key metrics - Strategizes growth of EasyBiz usage amongst new, unresponsive and existing customers. - Maximizes revenue and identifies new opportunities by keenly analyzing and interpreting data. Job-Specific Skills, Experience & Education Required - 2 years of experience in inside sales, preferably corporate sales within the Fortune 1000, with airline sales application, or in an entrepreneurial, fast paced, consultative sales environment. - Bachelor's degree in Business Management or related field, or an additional two years of training/experience in lieu of this degree. - Proven capability of working in an analytically-minded, fact-based sales and account management environment - Background and experience in the structuring and effective management of corporate agreements using thorough understanding of current travel industry distribution models. - Flexible and takes a creative approach to fulfilling tasks - an enthusiastic, results-oriented self-motivator with a history of demonstrated success. - The ability to work from home at times and the willingness to travel (10% or more of the time) in support of your role. - Demonstrates solid business acumen and proven negotiation abilities. - A self-starting, strategic thinker who utilizes new approaches to secure customers and drive revenue in an ever-changing environment. - Knowledge of MS Office suite products (especially Excel), social media and Salesforce. - Develops a rapport quickly with internal and external customers throughout all communication channels.
