Every day, we go beyond what's expected and reach for the remarkable, together. **YOUR ROLE** Role Summary The Front Desk Receptionist is the first point of contact for all visitors of the Alaska Airlines Corporate Office. As the receptionist you will ensure all visitors are properly acknowledged and greeted. The receptionist also maintains front desk office needs by providing support and organizing and implementing office functions. This includes procurement of supplies, maintaining office records, and supporting relationships with Alaska's office vendors. Scope & Complexity - This individual contributor position supports the Alaska Airline corporate office and, by nature, its subsidiaries and partners. The Front Desk Receptionist is the first point of contact for all visitors of the Alaska Airlines Corporate Office and as such ensures all visitors are properly acknowledged and greeted. Key Duties Receptionist Duties including: - Professionally and courteously greets all visitors and guests and directs to the appropriate party or location. - Responds to guest inquiries regarding Alaska services, directions, policies, etc. - Maintains security by following procedures; monitoring logbook; issuing visitor badges. - Handles all incoming phone calls professionally, accurately, and in a timely manner and transfers to the appropriate party or location as needed. - Schedules onsite convenience appointments and follows up with individuals as needed. - Correctly distributes all incoming deliveries with accuracy and timeliness. - Maintains safe and clean reception area by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations. Office administration duties including: - Supports the Supervisor, Program & Events with administrative functions including scheduling, filing and preparation of letters, memos, reports, etc. - Maintains the Receptionist Reference Manual and employee database. - Prepares and edits general correspondence to employees, visitors and guests. - Prepares mailings and meeting packets as requested. - Maintains continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs. General office duties including: - Maintains stock and monitors department inventory of office supplies to ensure sufficient supplies are available at all times. - Requests necessary service/maintenance for the Alaska Corporate Front Desk office equipment to ensure optimum efficiency. - Executes all responsibilities with a focus on achieving Alaska goals and objectives, and conforming to all policies, procedures and legal requirements. Job-Specific Skills & Education Required - A minimum of 3 years of experience in a fast paced office environment. - Knowledge of general administrative and clerical procedures and the ability to operate basic office machines (telephone, copier, fax, printer, etc.). - Knowledge of customer service principles and practices, and the ability to handle multiple assignments simultaneously with accuracy, some of which may be confidential in nature. - Well-developed organization and time management skills, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills (to include written and verbal communication, and listening). - Ability to establish and maintain harmonious relations with Alaska's employees, vendors and the general public. - Demonstrates verbal, visual and auditory ability to act swiftly in an emergency situation. - Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook). - High school diploma or equivalent is required. - Minimum age of 18. - Must be authorized to work in the U.S. Job-Specific Leadership Expectations - Embody our values to own safety, do the right thing, be kind-hearted, deliver performance, and be remarkable. **EQUAL EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY** Horizon Air and Alaska Airlines are equal opportunity employers.
