KEY ROLE SPECIFIC ACCOUNTABILITIES:

 

  • Resolve problems and issues via telephone or providing clarifications by e-mail or site visits ensuring quality in accord with agreed service levels.
  • Coordination with AFG Service desk and providing first and second level support and/or scheduling on-site support mechanism to resolve internal customer issues.
  • Providing analytical and technical solutions to fulfil use requests.
  • Deliver solutions with a customer service focus
  • Execute projects in line with project specifications and coordination with the Customer Support Manager to provide the appropriate support requirements for projects.
  • Provide support to meet the hardware and software requirements for projects and/or IMAC’s within the environment/user community.
  • Participate in the In house training to share knowledge and experiences with the customer support team, with a view to gaining and imparting technical expertise in the profile.
  • Assist customers in clarifying the IT procurement needs arising within the user group and provide justification for selection of the most appropriate hardware that will meet the business requirement.

 

PERSON SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS:

 

Education:

Degree or Diploma in Electronics / Computer Science/ Information Technology and /or related certification e.g. MCSE, CCNA, ITIL.

Good knowledge of Desktop hardware and software trouble shooting.

 

Minimum Experience and Knowledge:

4 years technical experience in maintenance of hardware and software, including some support to Network Operations.

Job-Specific/Technical Skills required to complete the tasks:

  • Strong background on client computing technologies covering the area of Desktops/Laptops/POS and mobile computing.
  • Knowledge of PC and peripherals related technologies and allied systems, products and solutions, and the infrastructure business. Computer software skills e.g. Windows, Internet, E -mail, MS Office.
  • Ability to develop good relationships with colleagues and key stakeholders
  • Ability to organise and prioritise work in an effective manner
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Ability to work well in a team.
