  • This job is a member of the Crew Process & Delivery Team within the Crew Planning Division.
  • Responsible for developing in depth understanding of crew demands, optimizing long term staffing models, and executing efficient equipment training bids.
What you'll do
  • Manages and improves strategic optimization model to analyze pilot manpower and training requirements and provide accurate crew staffing forecasts
  • Collaborates with Manpower Planning and Operations Research teams on training model inputs and attributes, setting model goals, analyzing outputs and presenting strategies to management.
  • Assists with development of pilot equipment vacancy bid plans and training assignments that support company goals, adhere to contractual restrictions and work within resource limitations. Work closely with the Vacancy team on bid preference projections and data flow between models.
  • Provides continuous improvement of models and processes to optimize resources.
  • Evaluates operational and financial implications of strategic changes including, but not limited to, flying schedule, labor contract provisions, regulatory provisions, company resource goals, and technology.
  • Completes ad-hoc projects and analyses as assigned

Minimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Aviation, Business, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, Engineering, or related field or equivalent experience/training

Skills, Licenses & Certifications

  • Excellent quantitative and analytical skills with an aptitude for problem solving
  • Strong analytical background involving data input, manipulation, and presentation
  • Working knowledge of probability, statistics, and forecasting techniques a plus
  • Experience with SQL and optimization software is a plus
  • Highly proficient in use of Microsoft Office, including Access, Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
  • Self-motivated and logical with aggressive approach to identifying and solving problems
  • Ability to work effectively, meet deadlines, and shift priorities appropriately in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with ability to effectively interact with employees at all levels of the organization
  • Ability to make independent judgments and decisions while taking ownership of job responsibilities
