The role is a part of the Sales Planning team team within our Global Sales division. You will be responsible for supporting and developing our commercial strategy in the EMEA region, working closely with revenue management, network planning, marketing, alliances, and other areas of the Sales organization to identify revenue opportunities across our network. That will require extensive data analysis and coordination with our joint-business partners in the region (British Airways, Iberia, and Finnair) to ensure that the key, actionable insights are delivered across different functional groups and carriers in a clear, timely fashion.
 

What you'll do
  • Solve complex commercial challenges in a creative fashion to unlock opportunities across our different channels
  • Jointly coordinate our business cycle partnering with revenue management, marketing, and field sales to communicate key, actionable insights to our account managers
  • Lead highly-impactful analyses for our EMEA sales teams and leadership to inform higher-level discussion
  • Develop and foster deep relationships with our partner airlines (BA, IB, AY) to create joint strategies for our EMEA point of sale
  • Drive efforts with other Sales groups (mainly Agency Programs, Leisure Sales, and Corporate Sales) to optimize channel performance
  • Manage a variety of ad hoc projects ranging from new-route launch plans to first class pricing strategy

Minimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience

  • Effective communication and presentation skills, including the ability to draw conclusions and recommendations out of complex and ambiguous data sets in collaboration with various stakeholders
  • Strong interpersonal skills, negotiation skills, and cultural awareness; while this role is highly analytical, the ability to convey strategic messages across different groups and carriers is just as important
  • Solid business acumen, and a willingness to dig deep to find the best answer by thinking outside the box
  • Strong organization, time management and prioritization skills
  • Willingness to travel – mainly to our field sales offices – for meetings and social
  • Experience in departments such as Sales, Revenue Management, or other Commercial teams is strongly preferred
  • A minimum of a BA/BS required; advanced degree a plus
     

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)
  • Knowledge of Data analysis tools – SQL, Power BI, Tableau, etc.
