Senior Engineer, Technical Support at Dell

Location: New Cairo

Job Description:

  • Applies advanced technical expertise using standard operating and diagnostic protocols to resolve standard to highly complex system-level issues. Identifies, documents and escalates customer issues to senior resources when required.
  • May need to engage and work with other teams across Dell Technologies to resolve more complex issues
  • Monitors and tracks all service calls, provides call status updates at regular intervals  and communicates status to customers using Call Tracking Databases
  • Part of a Subject Matter Team, an escalation point for frontline level engineers.
  • Makes a recommendation to higher level technical support engineers or management for improving processes, standards and strategies.
  • Responsible for sharing all acquired knowledge concerning problem resolution and regularly submits content to the knowledge database
  • Flexibility working in shifts, holidays and on-call.

Job Requirements:

       Relevant Experience:

  • At least 4+ years previous experience in a Technical Support Role (2nd or 3rd level support)

Technical Knowledge/ Skills/ Training required:

  • Ability to understand and troubleshoot Networking issues. Familiarity with Cisco switches, and network management an advantage
  • Detailed knowledge of Virtualization technologies such as VMWare vSphere, vSAN, ESXi, NSX
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent communication skills.
