JOB PURPOSE:

To assist in carrying out dealership service on customer vehicles as per company standards and ensure optimum quality with increased productivity and technical efficiency, thereby individually contributing to generate workshop revenue.

 

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES: Specify the output required from the job. Identify not more than 7 Key Accountabilities & their performance indicators. NB-Focus on outcomes not tasks

  • To assist the senior technician efficiently in performing periodic maintenance service on the customer’s vehicle.
  • To assist the senior technician in minor repair jobs on customer’s vehicle without compensating the quality of work.
  • To assist the senior technician to accurately complete all job cards provided
  • To help the senior technician in providing cost estimates to customers that requires or request for additional service jobs.
  • Deliver the desired efficiency and productivity as per targets given. Ensure prompt punch in and punch out to get the accurate booking hours
  • Complete the Basic English speaking course and ELearning course and other on the job training as per the schedule provided by the Training Manager. Enrol and get certification as per the HQSP program
  • Ensure follow up of standard operating procedures in technician role. Ensure fire extinguishers are kept close by for immediate action in case of working with fuel systems. Care for fellow colleagues. Proper usage of safety measures provided in the workshop

JOB CONTEXT: Define organizational policy and other factors that have a critical impact on the job

Technician will report to the Service Supervisor.  Some of the main challenges are:

  • Play a crucial role to assist the senior technician to fix the customer vehicle for the first time with dealer standards.
  • Knowledge of Standard Operating Procedures and problem solving skills in assisting to resolve minor repair jobs.
  • Capacity for learning and training & development plans.
  • Ability to use workshop manuals and understand wiring diagrams.

 

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS:

Minimum Qualifications and Knowledge:  High School /Diploma in Automobile

Minimum Experience:  Fresher.

Job-Specific Skills: basic PC skills, motor driving experience and knowledge on automotive vehicles

Behavioural Competencies: hardworking, ability to work under pressure, honest and productive.
