  • ​This job is a member of the Regional Operations Planning and Performance Team within the Regional Division.
  • Responsible for analyzing all aspects of regional operational performance, covering a wide variety of both strategic and operational analysis.
What you'll do
  • Leads coordination of deep dive initiatives between regional carriers, hub leadership and mainline organization to understand and troubleshoot operational challenges and deliver performance improvement for the regional operation that represents over half of the departures at American Airlines
  • Provides analysis and project management support for operational deep dives and competitive gap analysis to identify key performance drivers and opportunities to close the gap between American Eagle and industry leading reliability
  • Develops and drives initiatives for reliability improvement across American Eagle through collaboration with various cross-functional teams
  • Tracks operational performance across 9 carriers and 2 ground handlers, including analysis of MOGT, block times, crew turns, maintenance touch time, etc.
  • Coordinates initiatives, actions and procedures with individual carriers, hub leadership and operational departments across American Airlines
  • Coordinates with other departments i.e. Network Planning, Fleet and operations planning on key initiatives that drive operational reliability (spare gates, spare AC, overnight maintenance time / locations, crew turns, contractual constraints, corporate operations goals etc.)
  • Develops presentations and provide internal recommendations regarding operation performance and initiatives to senior management
  • Works with carriers to understand feedback during the schedule proposal process
  • Performs financial analysis to understand cost and carrier performance across the Regional Fuel Savings Program

Minimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field or equivalent experience/training

 

Preferred Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience

  • Experience in airline operations analysis, operations research
  • Masters of Business Administration

 

Skills, Licenses & Certifications

  • ​Ability to possess sound strategic business analysis acumen and proven ability to develop highly complex analysis
  • Ability to effectively handle multiple, concurrent projects with minimal supervision; appropriately prioritize projects to meet all critical deadlines
  • Ability to be analytical, possess negotiations and problem-solving skills, as well as excellent organizational abilities
  • Ability to be a strong collaborator with proven ability to drive change
  • Occasional travel may be required
