Taking on each day knowing we're part of something remarkable. **YOUR ROLE** As a Ground / Ramp Service Agent, you play a critical role to keep our flights running smoothly and safely. Whatever the weather, you'll direct aircraft for takeoff, gate approach, load and unload luggage, and operate equipment to de-ice planes in the winter. Your shift schedule will vary, so you'll need to be flexible with your time. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES - Baggage and cargo handling - Aircraft marshaling - Aircraft deicing - Work outdoors in all types of weather conditions while remaining focused on safely performing duties - Other duties as assigned QUALIFICATIONS - High school diploma or equivalent required - Minimum age of 18 - Authorization to work in the U.S. - Valid driver's license - Previous customer service experience preferred - Friendly, knowledgeable and polite in all situations - Strong diplomacy and teamwork skills - Strong verbal communication skills - Ability to communicate using a two-way hand held radio required - Ability to consistently lift 50 pounds required - Ability to juggle multiple tasks in a fast-paced and at times stressful environment - Ability to perform basic mathematics required - Ability to work flexible schedules to include weekends and holidays required - Regular and predictable attendance required - If selected, ability to attend five days of training in Seattle, WA and Portland, OR required - Depending upon your work location, you may be required to obtain USPS Mail Handling Certification ENHANCED DRIVER'S LICENSE(EDL) or PASSPORT REQUIRED at time of badging for customs clearance. EDL can be obtained for a fee from the local licensing office. Proof of citizenship is required to get an EDL.
