Taking on each day knowing we're part of something remarkable. **YOUR ROLE** Role Summary The Inflight Safety and Compliance Specialist is responsible for maintenance of the Safety Management System (SMS). Supports Infight's reporting system, including ASAP, Irregularity reports, trending risking and analyzing all reporting. Participates on the ERC for ASAP, investigating findings of non-compliance, and acting as a liaison with the FAA. This role requires a working knowledge of all Federal Aviation Regulations, Inflight policies and procedures and use critical thinking skills to make key determinations regarding regulatory requirements. This individual contributor role provides support for all Inflight Safety and Compliance programs. Scope & Complexity As an individual contributor, this position supports Inflight safety and regulatory compliance for the Inflight division. Key Duties - Processes Flight Attendant Irregularly Reports (FAIR). - Conducts analysis, identifies risk and trends, and coordinates after-action activities. - Participates in investigations. - Conducts root cause analysis to identify process level breakdowns. - Promotes safety in the Inflight division by developing, implementing, and maintaining SMS processes. - Facilitates Safety Risk Assessments and participates in the Safety Risk Management (SRM) Task Force. - Assists with the content review of departmental manuals. - Serves as subject matter expert of Inflight safety policies for other departments and divisions. Job-Specific Skills, Experience, & Education Required - Bachelor degree, or 2 years airline experience. - Excellent communication (e.g., verbal, written, presentation) and collaborative skills. - Must successfully complete 4 weeks of Flight Attendant Training (if not already qualified as a QX Flight Attendant) and maintain certification as a Flight Attendant.? - Previous administrative, data entry, coordination, or related experience. - Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. - Detail oriented and highly organized, with the ability to execute on multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines and work independently with limited guidance in a fast-paced environment where flexibility is key. - High school diploma or equivalent. - Minimum age of 21. - Must be authorized to work in the U.S. Preferred - Experience with event investigations and root cause analysis. - Knowledge of Inflight policy and procedure. - Knowledge of FAA regulatory oversight processes. - Knowledge of SMS processes. - A minimum of 2 years of FAA/compliance experience.
