Every day, we go beyond what's expected and reach for the remarkable, together. **YOUR ROLE** Role Summary The Product Development Manager IV is responsible for setting the product vision, roadmap and establishing a well-refined backlog to achieve business objectives. This role will collaborate with key stakeholders, designers, and engineers to lead the design, implement, test and refine functionality for employee facing applications. The role will lead and develop a team of Product Managers and provide thought leadership for Alaska Airlines and Horizon Air. Scope & Complexity This leadership role will own the strategic roadmap for employee solutions development and ensure delivery for Alaska Airlines and Horizon Air. This role leverages competitive analysis, user research, and data to define a product vision and strategy. Key Duties - Shape the long-term product strategy by creating and delivering product roadmaps based on user needs and strategic objectives to deliver an amazing guest experience. - Create, make decisions and maintain a value-based prioritized backlog of opportunities for products which align to Alaska's business strategy and goals to - Influence across team to build and manage stakeholder and executive relationships to provide transparency and drive alignment on the product roadmap and prioritization. - Ensure and measure the use of agile best practices and work to continuously improve ways of working. - Establish and monitor key metrics and KPIs to measure product and team performance. - Communicate product status, roadblocks, and release plans to key constituents across the organization and senior management. - Lead team and establish priorities of team to deliver to deliver on established business objectives. - Develop people through effective performance management and ongoing feedback, focusing on fostering strategic and systems thinking across team and function, development of talent in function/discipline, and succession planning. - Develop and implement go-to-market plans, working with various departments. - Stay current with online travel and digital industry trends as well as competitors' digital capabilities. - Maintain awareness of third-party capabilities that provide viable product solutions. Negotiate contracts and manage vendor relationships. - Shape culture of the team and beyond through action, presence, and reinforcement of behaviors Job-Specific Skills, Experience & Education Required - 7 years of product management, program management, or product ownership, with at least 3 years of strategic planning and prioritization experience. - 4 years of leadership experience, with at least some of this experience directly leading people. - A Bachelor of Arts or a Bachelor of Science degree, with a focus in Marketing or a related discipline, or an additional two years of training/experience in lieu of this degree. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills with diverse audiences, including both technical and non-technical customers, colleagues, and executives. - Excellent teamwork skills and ability to influence cross-functional teams. - Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook). - High school diploma or equivalent. - Minimum age of 18. - Must be authorized to work in the U.S. Preferred - Experience with Agile development teams. - Experience launching mobile products or features.
