The Project Engineer - Audio Video Systems will be leading the implementation of AV infrastructure projects. Assisting the project manager, working along with various internal & external project stakeholders in delivering the multiple projects until handover. The Project Engineer is responsible for the installation, modification, repair maintenance and testing of Audio, Video and Lighting Systems. This includes the physical laying of cables, installation & terminations of devices, testing, overseeing the work of others technicians, surveying work sites, coordinating work flows, provide on the job training to other technicians as needed.

• Planning the work and efficiently organising site facilities in order to meet agreed deadlines.
• Day-to-day management of the site, including supervising and monitoring the internal & outsourced site work force. 
• Liaison, coordination, site visits, meetings with client, subcontractor, planners, QS, consultant, authorities, and other departments/entities as needed to ensure timely & integrated execution of projects. 
• Review, provide input & manage project documentation throughout the project life cycle, including all correspondences, submittal, drawing, method statements, inspection documentation, O&M manuals, etc.. And ensure safe archive of project data at all time. 
• Guiding Draftsman for preparing shop drawing, cable routing plan, installation drawings, wiring drawings, cable schedule, etc. as needed for the project. 
• Acting as the technical adviser, provide guidance and advice to the installation & commissioning team, subcontractors and operatives. Resolving any unexpected technical difficulties, and other problems that may arise.
• Assure that the implementation is in-compliance with drawings, specifications and quality standards. Adherence to the corporate and project quality & health & safety management systems.
• Responsible for installation, configuration, maintenance and setting up of all Audio Video Systems as per requirement following drawings & schematics. 
• Conduct the inspection, repair, and upgrading, planned & reactive maintenance of Audio Video Systems.
• Check AV systems; identify malfunction, trouble shoot, first instance diagnosis and take appropriate action for the rectification of system and equipment.
• Operate hand tools and equipment necessary to perform all associated tasks.

The Project Engineer will report to the Project Manager however, channels exists for direct communication with the Head of Projects and other member from the senior leadership team at weekly meetings or as and when required. 

To be a successful in this role, you should have a diploma / bachelor's degree apecialised in Electronics / Electronics & Communication / Information Technology Engineering or a equivalent related qualification. Minimum of 5 years’ relevant audio video systems experience in the Middle East. Previous hands-on experience in installation, configuration and commissioning of Audio & Video systems, including Speakers, Amplifiers, Projection system, Direct LED Displays, Video Wall, Control Systems, Automation System. 
Expert level of technical skills & knowledge of - 

• Knowledge of various components and sub-components of Audio & Video systems, especially Extron Crestron, AMX, BIAMP etc.  
• Detailed working Knowledge and experience of Operations and Maintenance of Audio & Video systems.
• Fault finding & troubleshooting skills in Audio & Video systems
• General knowledge and experience of Electrical Safety Rules and procedures.
• The ability to accurately read and interpret drawings & schematics.
• Experience with other technology systems such as Structure cabling & AV a plus.
• Manufacturer technical training/certifications on Audio & Video systems a plus.
• Crestron, Extron, AMX, BOSE, BIAMP programming skills a plus.

UAE Driving licence will be an added advantage.

The Project Engineer will have to demonstrate excellent leadership qualities, be customer focused and be able to handle multiple and often conflicting priorities. It is essential the incumbent should have excellent interpersonal skills, communication & influencing at all levels – to be able to coordinate in a multi-disciplinary environment both internal and external and a collaborative management style. Excels at operating in a fast pace, community environment. Ability to motivate and provide technical guidance to technicians and sub-contractors. Ability to sustain positive teamwork environment. Have the ability to look at situations from several points of view. Delegate responsibilities effectively. Should have a high comfort level working in a diverse environment. Open to direction and collaborative work style and commitment to get the job done. Manage cross-functional relationships effectively.
