Every day, we go beyond what's expected and reach for the remarkable, together. **YOUR ROLE** Role Summary The TA Training Development Specialist is responsible for developing solutions to knowledge gaps and productivity lapses within Talent Acquisition at Alaska Airlines and Horizon Air. This position audits and assess developmental needs and drives training initiatives. This position creatively designs and implements effective methods to enhance performance and ensure that employees are set up for success. Scope & Complexity As an individual contributor this role makes recommendations on training content that will educate employees and drive productivity. Key Duties - Identifies specific training requirements, knowledge gaps and quality challenges, proposing and implementing solutions - Responsible for training content design, development, implementation and maintenance of learning materials. Administers training manuals, process documents, and other educational materials. - Develops an effective approach for tracking training logistics, designing surveys and analyzing results to monitor program impacts and inform program improvements and strategy. - Creates and maintains program-related communications and processes. - Researches trends and thought leadership in talent management, learning, and leadership development to make recommendations on training processes. - Solicits feedback and suggestion from participants to identify barriers to employment and to develop strategies to manage these issues - Partners and collaborates with outside vendors to develop and/or assist in training needs. - Facilitates new employee department orientation and training that covers Talent Acquisition systems and processes. Job-Specific Experience, Education & Skills Required - A minimum of 3 years of training development/delivery (relevant) experience - A Bachelor of Arts or Science degree with a focus in Human Resources, Organizational Design, or related field; or an additional two years of training/experience in lieu of this degree. - Strong communication (e.g., verbal, written, presentation) and interpersonal skills, with the ability to create collaborative relationships that drive outcomes in the best interest of the company, with others in the organization, and with key external business partners. - Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook). - Knowledge and experience in the area of Talent Acquisition - High school diploma or equivalent. - Minimum age of 18. - Must be authorized to work in the U.S. Preferred - Approach work with a solution mindset, always looking for ways to identify and prioritize enhancements to existing process, systems, tools, and analytics.
