About You
You have a passion eagerness to want to help customers. You enjoy working in a fast-paced and complex environment. You have the willingness in transforming IKEA to be the world’s leading home furnishing retailer
What’s more, we believe that you have the following knowledge, capabilities and motivation:
- Live and share the IKEA values every day
- Bachelors Degree in Commerce, Finance, Accounting or related field
- Minimum of 2-3 years experience in handling till transaction
- Background or experience in retail, hypermarket/supermarkets, hotels, money exchange centers or related field
- Able to work on rotational shifts, weekends and public holidays
- Proficiency in MS Office applications, especially MS Excel and Word
- High level of Accuracy, Mathematical, Organizational and Customer Service Skills
About the Role
You are responsible in maintaining clean and orderly checkout areas whilst serving customers with great Customer Service skills. You follow SOPs including counting and recording the float before trading begins and upon close of trading in order to reduce losses.
Key Specific Accountabilities:
- Receiving payment by cash, check, credit cards, vouchers, or automatic debits. Follow the SOP pertaining to cash handling.
- Computing and recording transactions and ensuring 100% accuracy for all register transactions.
- Counting and recording the float before trading begins and upon close of trading.
- Cash handling and safe custody of collected cash.
- Ensuring that company's customers are well-attended to, assuring their needs is satisfied.
- Work efficiently and effectively in order to minimize queues.
- Maintaining clean and orderly checkout areas.
- Ensuring and maintaining adequate stock of printed stationary at required stock level.
