Acts as the point of contact for repair shops to assist with solving critical part and sourcing alternatives, tracking trouble and hard to find piece parts.  Collaborates across multiple departments with prioritizing and tracking part New Item part Requests (NIR) and locating alternate spare part sources  Works closely with individual shops on developmental repairs, locating and obtaining required tooling as well as  required repair documentation and piece parts

  • Develops and maintains effective lines of communication between Maintenance, Engineering, and  Supply Chain groups
  • Collaborates across multiple departments with identifying, prioritizing, tracking and reporting status of critical New Item part Requests (NIR)
  • Works closely with Supply Management and Commodity Managers on identifying potential alternate parts and sources  for difficult to obtain piece parts
  • Provides research support and assistance to individual shops in developmental repairs and processes
    Collaborate with onsite repair vendor Tech Reps in obtaining required repair, and testing documentation and piece part acquisition
  • Provides management with regular updates on  areas of concern and progress with developmental repair projects
All you'll need for success

Minimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Aeronautic Engineering or related area or equivalent experience or training
  • 5 years experience working in a production shop environment or an area related to heavy/shop maintenance
  • Lean, Continuous Improvement or Six Sigma experience

Preferred Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience

  • A&P License

Skills, Licenses & Certifications

  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and multiple areas of responsibility
  • Excellent understanding of airline/technical operations to include Component Repair and Overhaul
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with employees at all levels of the organization as well as with external contacts
  • Strong process analysis/development skills
  • Excellent analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
    Innovative thinking capabilities
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office software
